Beating the game took me about 28 hours, though you could probably do it faster if you played on easy and only did story missions. The story was decent, and had a couple turns in it that kept it from being totally predictable. Voice acting was solid, and overall gameplay is very fun, involving a ship-to-ship skirmish phase before going to on-the-deck tactical battle. The enemies are varied, as are your specialists, and there's lots of interesting gear and abilities to find.

However, I felt like many of the abilities that my crew got (most of which are random) were not very useful, or were too situational. However, you can roll infinite recruits, and headhunt for your perfect grappler or spearmaiden if you have the resources to spare.

I'd also have liked it if I got to hold onto a little of my gear after a successful raid, rather than losing it (every piece of kit you find on a raid gets turned into resources for base upgrades). Perhaps balanced by risking losing it all if you fail a raid (which will definitely happen). I also found some of the base upgrades rather lackluster, leaving me with a ship that was usually under-gunned until late in a raid, when nice gear would matter less.

In terms of bugs, they are minor. It has lots of incorrect subtitles, the UI tooltips don't do enough to explain how some items work, and there's at least one upgrade that doesn't seem to work at all. Most of the game's achievements are also broken and don't unlock when they should.

It's not a perfect game, but its flaws don't outweigh the fun it offers. I would definitely play a sequel if one ever came out.

Unbelievably good story, fantastic animation, great voice acting, killer music. The dispatch gameplay is deeper than it looks. Whatever flaws this game has are overshadowed by how stupidly fun everything else is.

A shockingly fun game for a group of friends. For the price and appearance you'd expect it to be just more friend-slop, but it's a truly engaging and fun coop game where every run is different despite the gameplay being very simple.

A fun, active idle game that lacks offline progression and doesn't need it, being more like a linear singleplayer game. You can beat the game in 8~ hours, but that won't get you all the unlocks and progression there is to see.

A fantastic free roaming exploration game where you command a starship lost in a far away galaxy. Explore, scavenge, fight, and negotiate your way to home! Overall has a light but fun story, good gameplay, fairly extensive ship building, a big research tree and very solid writing. As close to a free roam Star Trek game as there is, hits all the notes, and has plenty of totally cromulent technobabble. It took me about 50 hours to do everything, and I enjoyed every minute.

A fantastic game that'll take you about 10 hours to complete if you take your time and explore. The game is by no means difficult or complex, and generally pretty laid back with a few puzzles and challenges to test you along the way, but it never gets too bad.

In terms of graphics, sound, animation, and all that? Top notch. The city is fantastic, and gorgeous and crammed with details that make it feel lived in, old and real. The kitty is absolutely adorable, and the robot friends you make along the way are super fun. The story is good, and even gets a little emotional in places.

Definitely worth your time.

A fun, well written, gorgeous third person shooter. Well worth it on sale. It does have some little issues, but none of them are bad enough to ruin the experience. For all its little bugs and faults, this was an absolute blast from start to finish. Easily better than any of the GotG movies that've come out of the MCU.

The characters are well written, well voiced, the settings are fun, there are plenty of great references for fans. On top of that, the soundtrack is great. If you're a guardians fan, or a marvel fan, it's worth your attention.
