Can't recommend in its current form. I came back after a year to see if they finally added skills that you'd expect to be in at launch and every time I sign in I'm immediately hunted and killed by random events. I guess I have to start over from the beginning since there's absolutely zero time to get your bearings.

Got this from humble bundle, it's very very good. There's been a few attempts at making a mahjong balatro and this is the first one to really nail it in my opinion. The different characters and abilities enable several strategies and some basic mahjong knowledge is useful. There's not much strategy as far as interacting with the opponent's hands and avoiding deal ins except for one specific enemy.

Rogue Like Girl raising game with deep inheritance mechanics and fully free to play. Costs a lot to be a high tier meta PVPer. Very fun, steam profile can connect to mobile so you can make progress on either device.

Excellent game, offers 14 alternative rules for minesweeper (15 if you include vanilla) that get mixed as you continue. Each puzzle is solveable without any 50/50s and this works very well for the base rules, but when certain rules are mixed i've encountered situations where I didn't see the logic of why a certain tile had to be a mine or empty.

The puzzles are procedurally generated but I didn't know until I was writing this review and looked at the description again. Multiple puzzles were extremely interesting and had awesome solutions and realizations, so it feels hand made most of the time.

Absolutely worth the $7 being asked for it if you enjoy puzzle games at all.

Haven't played much, but saw reviews saying this is an incredibly broken rogue like where you can do crazy stuff. Interactions are very generic and aren't particularly bounded, you really can just stack modifiers and interesting mechanisms together. There's very simple strategies too, like I got a perk that gave me half the mana I spend on any cube back in the first minute, but when upgraded it acts as if the cube has 20 greater mana value. So suddenly a simple projectile I had was generating mana. Then I had a damage doubler, which doubled damage multiplicative not additive so a single bolt which was supposed to do 2 damage did trillions of damage in the first 10 seconds of the fight.

Great simply on the basis of being willing to not limit player power
