I bet this game would be really good for someone who has an overworking problem. Definitely couldn't relate though but like im sure if you did you would like it

Don't pay $25 for that until you see whether the story expansions come out and are actually wort the money. Pretty disappointing start to what, from what I have played is a pretty great game.

I feel scammed. I know that there will be more substantial DLC later but this should not count as one and it makes me worried the story expansions will be single short missions. If they really plan on having more substantial expansions later they should have advertised the pass as 3 DLC and 4 bonus statues.

people only don't like this game because of their expectations. so let me set them straight so you can go in and have a good time. And ill mention some settings to change.

expect this to not be fully open world: the first several hours are railroaded but still with some impactfull choices and then it moves to more open. somewhere between god of war spoked hub style and a full open world

Don't expect realistic people: alot of people were hoping for the graphics to be super high detail and they are a bit more of a cartoonish style. That being said the game still looks amazing and have some really detailed scenes.

expect good story: so far form what I have played the companions are written really well and they all feel very human, the little bit of romance I have gone through is cute and fun to watch, it doesn't feel like romance just for the sake of romance.

expect great pacing: some review say that it starts slow but again i think they are just expecting it to open up into an open world earlier and it takes a bit. that aside there is great balance between combat, story, and exploration. you never get board of one or the other.

settings to change: Turn of hints of puzzles unless you are having trouble with one and need them so the puzzles are actually puzzles. Turn of the mini-map and the markers, you can play this game with them off and it is far prettier and more immersive, if you get lost you can set them so pressing the up arrow on your controler shows the marker on your screen.

Great game that manages to always keep your attention and not be too punishing as to make you want to quit when you die. A trap that a lot of survival games fall into. Cool automation mechanics as well.

Truly an amazing experience.

Going into this game I was kind of expecting a normal somewhat railroaded Video game experience but this feels like you're actually playing D&D. Starting with the story, almost every decision you make influences the plot and the way your story goes. You very rarely feel railroaded or like you only have one option to continue the story. The combat is also very similar to D&D with the character-building following the rules very closely. This allows you to be very creative with the ways you interact with fights. The graphics are also amazing and match the high fantasy style of D&D, faces and character movements often feel very immersive. all around the atmosphere of the game has that feel of a high fantasy adventuring band with some very funny moments as well as actually interesting plot and stakes. if you loved the D&D movie you will love this. Whether or not you have played D&D or you just like story-driven video games this is definitely worth picking up.
