It's peak.
Other than the performance (slums run like abysmal ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and any scene at night also drops my fps a little bit) I am genuinely addicted.

this is literally the greatest game ever made

i dont know why this is such a recurring pattern with every game i play that takes place in new york but:

LIVING IN NEW YORK ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SUCKS

my biggest gripe is the weapon sound design (crowbar sounds like you're swinging a whole ass machete when you swing it and doesn't have the necessary "oomph" when you hit things with it, thats the biggest sin), it has obligatory unreal engine "performance", and it is a rather short experience (even for most demo standards tbh), but otherwise it's aight.
main takeaway: eh? eh. its a demo i'm not too bothered by the shortcomings

it looks gorgeous so at least theres that !

I have NO idea why they decided to release Toribash Next now, let alone what they've been DOING with it for the past half decade, but it really isn't worth your time.
This game isn't just underdeveloped. It hasn't even been taken out of the freezer.
