ITA: Di solito cerco sempre di guardare entrambi i lati quando leggo recensioni di un gioco, ma in questo caso contro Dragon's Dogma 2 si è generata una campagna di hate da gente che credo si sia fermata solo alla pagina del negozio qui senza neppure avviare il gioco e si è messa subito a sparare stupidaggini poco veritiere. Motivo ? Le microtransazioni.
Ora, metto subito le mani avanti sul fatto che non apprezzo per niente neppure io questa voglia matta della Capcom di monetizzare anche i giochi singleplayer, ma di qui a dire che l'unico modo per cambiare i capelli al personaggio o avere i Cuori del Drago per resuscitare a seguito di un Game Over sia pagando i DLC ce ne vuole davvero. Tutto il contenuto che vedete nella lista dei DLC (eccetto il kit da campeggio che a quanto pare è solo una skin alternativa per quello già esistente) è ottenibile progredendo nel gioco e senza neppure un grandissimo sforzo, basta tipo meno di un'oretta di esplorazione per capirlo. Mi fa ridere poi come tutti si stiano scagliando contro Dragon's Dogma 2 quando esistono Devil May Cry 4/5 e i remake dei Resident Evil dal 2 al 4 che hanno fatto la stessa identica cosa ma sono comunque visti come capolavori intoccabili... seriamente, prima di sparare letteralmente balle, informatevi meglio.

Chiusa questa lunga parentesi, Dragon's Dogma 2 ha praticamente tutto ciò che il primo, per quanto comunque bellissimo e divertentissimo, purtroppo non è riuscito ad avere per vari motivi, sono state mantenute molte vecchie meccaniche (le riftstones e la meccanica di summon delle pedine, il fast travel tramite consumabile o la "barra bianca" di salute recuperabile ecc.) ma ne sono state implementate anche di nuove, come i carretti che ora possono fungere da ulteriore fast travel verso città e villaggi, elementi di scenario con cui interagire in combattimento.. Le pedine ora hanno ancora più interazioni, sia tra di loro che con l'Arisen, che le rende ancora più "vive" e il combat system è stato reso ancora più frenetico, con alcune modifiche alle classi del primo e anche l'aggiunta di nuove. In generale è un seguito che rende onore e migliora il suo predecessore, ma che è purtroppo colmo di diversi problemi tecnici che lo rendono in alcuni punti abbastanza frustrante (come il problema abbastanza comune del calo enorme di FPS ogni volta che ci si ritrova nella capitale (solo per questi problemi infatti la mia recensione momentaneamente sarebbe più su un giudizio "mid"). Sono però sicuro che sia qualcosa di risolvibile con un pò di patch, perchè tolto quello il divertimento è assicurato.

ENG: I always try to look at both sides when reading reviews of a game, but in the case of Dragon's Dogma 2, there's been an undeserved hate campaign from people who I believe only stopped at the game's store page without even starting the game and immediately began spouting quite untrue nonsense. The reason ? Microtransactions. Now, I'll immediately clarify that I don't appreciate Capcom's crazy desire to monetize even single-player games, but to say that the only way to change your character's hair or to get Dragon Hearts to resurrect after a Game Over is by paying for DLCs is a bit exageration. All the content you see in the DLC list (except for the camping kit which apparently is just an alternate skin for the existing one) can be obtained by progressing in the game and without much effort, it literally takes less than an hour of exploration to understand this. It also makes me giggle a bit how everyone is attacking Dragon's Dogma 2 when there are Devil May Cry 4/5 and the Resident Evil remakes from 2 to 4 that did the exact same thing but are still seen as untouchable masterpieces... seriously, before splilling literal nonsense, give an actual shot to the game.

Beside that, Dragon's Dogma 2 has practically everything the first one, as beautiful and fun as it was, unfortunately couldn't achieve for various reasons. Many old mechanics were retained (the riftstones and the pawn summoning mechanic, consumable-based fast travel, the 'white bar' of recoverable health, etc.) but new ones have also been implemented, like carts that can now serve as additional fast travel to cities and villages, environmental elements to interact with in combat and more. The pawns now have even more interactions, both among themselves and with the Arisen, making them feel even more 'alive' and the combat system has been made even more frantic, with some changes to the classes from the first and the addition of new ones. Overall, it is a sequel that honors and improves its predecessor but is unfortunately also filled with several technical problems that make it quite frustrating at points (like the quite common huge FPS drop whenever you find yourself in the capital (for these problems, in fact, my review would be more of a 'mid' rating). However, I'm confident that this is something that can be resolved with a few patches because aside from that, the fun is guaranteed."

Assolutamente sconsigliato allo stato attuale, ignorate le recensioni positive meme fatte dai babbei che lo elogiano solo perché è JoJo. Ottimizzato malissimo, l'ho fatto girare su entrambi i miei pc (rispettivamente uno con una Radeon 5700 xt e l'altro con una Geforce 3070 ti, entrambe schede che vanno ben oltre i requisiti) e si continua ad avere questo fastidiosissimo effetto slow motion con i settaggi al massimo, se non li riduci non si può proprio giocare bene. Altro problema è il netcode dell'online, pessimo e sprovvisto di rollback, preparatevi a tantissime disconnessioni, caricamenti infiniti, mosse che non vanno a segno e tanto altro per rendere la vostra esperienza fastidiosa a non finire.
Cambierò volentieri la recensione una volta che tutto sarà fixato, per ora lo consiglio solo se avete amici fan di JoJo e picchiaduro con cui scazzottarvi il sabato sera o se siete interessati alla componente singleplayer composta da missioni con modificatori e contenuti sbloccabili tutto sommato non male, altrimenti lasciatelo pure lì dov'è.

I don't recommended grabbing the game now, ignore the mass of positive meme reviews made by idiots who are praising it because "it's JoJo". Optimization is terrible, i attempted to make it run on both my computers (one with a Radeon 5700 XT and the other with a Geforce 3070 ti, both should be able to run this game smoothly) and kept having this terrible "slow mo" effect with max settings, you basically can't play unless you lower them. Second problem is the terrible netcode with no rollback, be ready to get random disconnections, infinite loadings, missed combos and more to make your experience frustrating af.
I'll be happy to change the review if they decide to fix all, for now get it only if you have JoJo/fighting games fans as friends to play with on a saturday night or if you are interested in the singleplayer mode made of missions with random modifiers and pretty nice unlockable content, otherwise leave it be.

Stateci lontani come la peste anche se è in sconto. L'ho recuperato grazie all'EA pass (lo avevo già su Origin in realtà), e se all'epoca quantomeno qualche partita ero riuscito a farla nonostante l'instabilità dei server, adesso non si può proprio manco giocare perchè vieni costantemente rimandato al menù per "Connessione Persa". Ecco cosa succede a fare un gioco only online, l'EA non è cambiata di una virgola a quanto pare.

Aggiornamento 3 Marzo 2022: la recente patch ha sistemato il problema (sembra che il problema fosse un bug che non faceva usare al gioco la scheda grafica in possesso) il gioco ora è finalmente giocabile e io posso cambiare il giudizio in positivo. Grazie From :)

Al momento ne sconsiglio vivamente l'acquisto su PC fino a quando un'eventuale hotfix non lo ottimizzerà a dovere.
Bug grafici, cali di frame, esplosioni di pixel, persino la cutscene iniziale che lagga, non posso neppure iniziarlo perchè giustamente il gioco mi rispedisce al menù a causa del frame rate... la mia Radeon 5700 XT forse non sarà al pari di una 3060 ma di sicuro i requisiti li dovrebbe soddisfare egregiamente, ma visto che sto notando recensioni di gente che sta avendo gli stessi problemi anche con le 3060 direi che stiamo proprio freschi.
Se proprio non riuscite ad attendere oltre e avete una PS5 prendetelo a occhi chiusi lì che gira a meraviglia.

I highly suggest you to avoid buying this game on PC right now until the release of an hotfix to fix this mess.
Too much frame drops and bugs, even the opening cutscene lags... my Radeon 5700 XT might not be good like a 3060 but it should still be enough to handle the game, though from what i saw even 3060 are having the same type of problems with this game, so we got big troubles here...
If you really can't wait, just grab it on PS5, it runs much better there.

Sono ancora incerto su quale direzione stia cercando di prendere questo gioco (che spero vivamente non sia quella del paranormale), però per il momento da ciò che ho visto sembra tutto solido, nulla di estremamente speciale, ma solido.

Però davvero... basta che ste cazzo di demo a tempo.
1 ora, due scenari e a malapena riesci a esplorare e goderti entrambi, ho dovuto rushare il castello perchè ho cercato di esplorare un attimo il villaggio, lasciandomi dietro sicuramente parecchi segreti che avrei voluto vedere. Non so gli altri, ma io una demo vorrei esplorarla a fondo, non fare una speedrun. Metto un no solo per quello, spero di non dover fare lo stesso con il gioco completo.
