I love this franchise. I've played the first game as well. I certainly played this one for quite some time too. I have also played Arrowhead's previous installments, the Magicka series.

The Helldivers universe, while being heavily inspired by Starship Troopers (Which I also like very much); is something I've been very happy to see getting expanded to this degree. It sure went quite a long path from it's humble beginnings. I've even considered cosplaying as one of the famous Cadets in black and yellow.

But now, with a heavy heart, I must say that I cannot support this. I was already very skeptical when they introduced crossplay over PSN. But I didn't think much of it, as many other games that I play have that going on with either over Playstation or Xbox. But even to this day, it's purely optional.

That has just changed. Sony forced them to make it MANDATORY to register on PSN. Just to drastically drive their overall number of users for their shareholders. And that brings up a lot of troubles worldwide.

No, it's not just "120 seconds" out of our lives to sign up. How can one be so daft as to claim that? PSN is NOT AVAILABLE to a lot of countries around the globe. Players that bought and played the game in the past are now being ROBBED of their access to this game. The vast majority of them also can't refund the game as is, because they've been playing for months, not hours.

Out of all major Networks, Playstation is notorious of having their playerbases' personal information get leaked out into the public space MORE THAN ONCE per year. It's become almost tradition with them. I refuse to WILLINGLY make my Steam account more vunerable as it already is. I've already took a gamble with Uplay. Can't play all my Uplay linked games anymore I already risked it with Origin. That doesn't flat out exist anymore. Already skinny dipped with Rockstar games with RDR2 and GTAV. I don't play these games anymore. AND NOW THIS.

Arrowhead Studios, I want to address this to all of you personally. I'm disappointed. You held the ball up high above your head, and the world cheered you on. And then you dropped it in such an embarrassing fashion. You said it was going to stay optional. Please don't let that turn into a confirmed lie. You can STILL prevent this mess from happening.

I love this game, and now I have to refund it.
