Here are my two cents about this game:
Skipping the obvious and reasonable critic of missing features at launch (DLSS, FOV, etc.) the game fells shallow even though I was consistently doing something. You fly from planet to planet but each planet feels just a bit too empty and non-engaging. The same goes for NPCs and quests, if you like talking to a lot of characters you will find most of them will have one maybe two sentences and very quickly they say the same thing. For instance, in one mission you're supposed to find dirt about a certain person. Well the first three out of 40 people say nothing of value but different things. After that you get the info and the exact same sentence gets repeated by every character you talk to after that.

So you get the illusion of a big game, big ships and choice, but in reality it's a shallow game with basic quests and little (meaningful) choice.

Now with a lot of negative (and there is more) there is also positive. The sheer size paired with mod support gives the ability to sink ours in to the world of Starfield. And overall I find gun play and the stories fun and engaging.

Overall, I can recommend the game for PC due to the massive future updates by willing molders and the overall good gameplay. You can easily spend 100+ hours in this game without mods even though I would strongly recommend using them.
