Boring story, long load times, short campaign.
Excellent graphics though.

Ryse: Son of Rome is an absolutely stunning game in almost every aspect. Graphics are great, mechanics are astonishing, level design is outstanding and the story is amazing. it's well optimized for PC, I've only encountered a single bug and that was fixed by reloading from my last checkpoint. I'm honestly surprised the game's on sale for as low as 5 dollars, and it's definitely worth the purchase on sale or not.

Despite it coming out years and years before Skyrim, I'd wager that Oblivion still rivals it.
The inventory system's surprisingly good, graphics are outstanding for 2007, the story's great, my main complaint would be faces, which are all sorts of messed up. E v e r y o n e looks either fat, like an alien, or fat and alien.
Combat is outstanding, the weapons are amazing, the forests feel like forests, something Skyrim seemed unable to do.
This is an amazing game with amazing replay value and a ton of side quests, and for such a low price, I'd reckon everyone should get it. 9/10

Here are some pros and cons I've encountered before I get into a written review.
Pros: Amazing for couch use, but I've found it also functions well at a desk.
Semi-good battery life.
Good button layout, although console users will say the button pad should be above the right analogue (or in this case trackpad)
The paddles were amazing
Community templates allow you to just take the lazy route and use other people's configurations.
Customizability and per-game customizability is unfathomably good
Very ergonomic design
Trackpads are very precise
Haptic feedback feels good
The weight is really well balanced.
It's durable.
Plug-and-play ease of use. Seriously. Plug it in, click Ok, wait a little, and get started.
It powers up and connects with a push of a button, and almost no delay.
The (completly optional) wire for the controller is nice and long for most situations.
Price is only 50 USD
Triggers feel AMAZING to pull, and duel stage triggers makes it much better for racing.

And now, regrettably, some cons.
Bad choice of plastic used, feels cheap.
Haptic feedback is surprisingly loud. Sounds like a giga counter, I normally just turn it off.
the gyro is.... working but not exactly the best.
Paddles are massive and are right in the spot everyone grips down on during intense fights, which can cost you a victory if you accidentally squeeze and throw a grenade.
Wireless range can be a pro or a con, I'd say it's a con for shortness. This won't be an issue for most people, but I have a massive home theater setup.
I'm not trying to at all judge the product by it's box but it was a slightly underwhelming box.
I mean, they've been hyping this thing up for over a year, and the box is paperboard with ink on it.
For some people with particularly shaped hands, the controller's far bottom part of the handle sticks into the ball of their hand and hurts them. I never had this issue but I've heard about it.

Now that those are out of the way, let me get onto my "wall of text" review.
The Steam Controller has been an all-in-all good experience for me. Though I have encountered some issues with things like Portal 2 or Half Life where walk controls don't work properly.
My favorite game to play with the Steam Controller is probably One Finger Death Punch, because of the simple controls (I recommend binding triggers both soft and full pull to x and b so you don't have to use the x and b buttons)
It's one of the easiest controllers to setup i've ever used. You just plug it in, get a prompt to install some software, you get recommended to launch big pictue mode, and you're done.
If you're playing a certain game which you want to control a certain way, you can easily rebind EEEVERYTHING on a per-game basis.
The trackpads.... definitely took some getting used to.
By the way, both of the big black round things are trackpads, even the "D-pad" as it may look. It's still a trackpad, but with D-Pad shaped lines in it.
I'll go ahead and say this, web browsing is mediocre at best.
Typing experience was surprisingly good, after only someodd 20 minutes of typing I was already able to type at a reasonable speed, without too many typos.
I've come to using the box it came in as a carrying case because as of current, I am travelling a lot and I normally do bring things like this with me.
I got my Steam Controller on Nov. 10, have been using it plenty and on a daily basis and surprisingly the batteries are still going strong, which I found rather surprising.
A good way to save power in the long run is to turn off all haptic feedback. I just don't like it at all, so I don't care.
The Haptic Feedback is one of my main complaints, basically, if it's on low you just hear a mind numbing ticking, like a giga counter, every time you move your trackpad.
on Medium, it's just louder, more intrusive, and I still can't feel anything
And then there's the high setting. High means its very loud but at least you can feel it. too bad you'll be deaf and poor after spending all that money on really nice noise cancelling headphones to avoid losing your mind.
the gyro is pretty good, but not the best.
it CAN be used as a racing wheel, but I would recommend investing a good 70-100 dollars in an actual racing wheel if you intend to need one.
You can also aim with it in first person shooter games which I quite like.
The buttons are apparently slightly smaller than normal for console users, but I completely love the size.
The dongle is semi-compact and durable.
And again, the price point is a massive reason to buy.
50 dollars, incase you've forgotten.
In short, Yes, I recommend this piece of hardware to most people, but it's NOT meant to replace your mouse and keyboard for competetive play. You're going to be at a severe disadvantage in things like CS:GO. I've found it functions best in casual, or at least singleplayer games.

This is going to be a slightlly longer review so feel free to skip if you're low on time.

Payday 2 is one of my favorite games ever. Great coop gameplay, amazing cinematic feels, customizable beyond belief, Very involved developers. Generally nice and helpful community, It just seems like (Unlike most other games) People legitimately ARE nice, rather acting for a +rep. The DLC are extremely cool.
It's a slightly large game, i believe 21 GB. but it's worth it. It provides a better experience than most 60 dollar games.
Payday 2 is comparable to some of the greatest games EVER. Such as Skyrim or Half Life.
Graphics are amazing aswell.
Not very requiring at all, a laptop can run it.
When you first get the game, i recommend getting a mod called HOXHUD. It vastly improves soem intrraction mechanics aswell as a highly improved HUD.
All weapons have specific modifications you can get for them. For example i can get a different scope for my sniper rifle if i need it for a mission. Or maybe attach a laser to my gun. Or a longer magazine.
The combinations are endless and endlessly fun!
Modelling and animations are beyond perfect. Stealth mechanics are better than any game i've seen before. Sometimes the coop AI is a little dumb but that's just another reason to get a 4 pack and share with your friends!
The storyline is another plus. It's very detailed and interesting but at the same time you can still play the game without knowing the full storyline. Knowing the lore really does improve gameplay though. It gives a sort of personal feel to the characters you play as and communicate with.
There are so many weapons that it's difficult to keep up with at first but you'll figure them all out pretty quickly.
Hardly any bugs are in the game as of now because of the Developer's quick actions to fix as much as they can.
Before i end my review i'd like to give an out-of-ten rating for the game.
9/10.
Thank you for reading all the way down here, if you have and didn't just skip the review, I definitely recommend buying the game!

Instead of listing the few flaws and leaving out all the good stuff like all the other reviews, i'm going to be going over everything i enjoyed.

Beyond fun. And there's a good variety too.

The adrenaline rush of holding down your boost key running right into a T-Bone.

Incredibly nice community.

Fun Gameplay.

Not very requiring at all for computers. (Crappy laptops can run it beyond fine)

Nice-ish graphics.

Music is to die for.

Easy controls to learn.

very customizable,

Simple yet detailed ingame mechanicss

The announcer has a great voice.

Amazing modelling.

Amazing damage to cars,

Amazing impact sounds (and whatnot)

Amazing vehicles, upgrades, and customizations.

Awesome multiplayer gameplay.

And now let's get into the one single flaw.
A somewhat short-ish campaign. You can't expect them to make a skyrim-sized racing game, can you?

Thanks for reading, i definitely recommend this game whether or not it's on sale.

Early Access Review
11/10 ign.

for a serious review scroll down a little

Honestly this is one of the best and most creative games i've ever played, the mechanics were used by popular games like Autocraft or Crashtastic but Besiege perfected it. they gave it an unbelievably perfect feel, with good graphics. And despite the fact this is an extremely early alpha game (only 0.04 as of the publishing of this review) it has next to no bugs and has more gameplay than you'd expect from a 60 dollar game for only 7 dollars US. It really brings out the creativity in people. It seems so simple from what you've seen until you play it when you realize al the potential. If you're thinking about buying this and you're looking in the reviews to see if it's worth it then it's a yes from me. i'd give it an honest rating of 9/10.

I honestly didn't get much fun out of this game. i mean yes the sandbox mode was good for a few laughs by putting G-Man in awkward positions or attaching a thruster to a red heavy (Team Fortress 2) and putting it on full blast. but multiplayer is a drag and sandbox got boring. now don't get me wrong this game is good but i just couldn't enjoy it.
