This game is an absolute gem.

No game gives you an experience like this, it is expansive, deeply somber, yet somehow through it all, shows glimmers of hope and growth for you and all of Revachol. The voice acting is also absolutely extraordinary. I do have some gripes towards the end and there were some buggy ments but overall it was an incredible playthrough. 9/10.

Very enjoyable playthrough.

Persona 3 Reload is a long game (60-80hours) that holds up a good experience, for the most part. First and foremost, the soundtrack is simply one of the best - engaging and always brings me back to play. The gameplay and mechanics are also fine, though coming from P5R, you can see how it has matured; though these still hold up quite nicely.

Another strong suit is the characters and stories we get with them, though I think there was more space to have deeper stories with some of them and the protagonist. The story is alright, it serves as a decent enough backdrop for the gameplay and social link stories. I think it could have been improved with greater antagonists and better pacing. All in all, it was a good experience with an interesting ending.

Just a few notes: there is an English translation which was a bit confusing: "Hanging out with this person will not increase the social link" should be "will not increase right now". There are also some memory leak problems as performance degrades after 1-2 hours of playing, but a quick restart solves it.

I'm excited for P6 has to offer. A mix of P3 tones and P5 mechanics, then mixing it up a bit, is going to be incredibly fun to experience.

8/10.

Pretty good read.

Fate/stay night was an enjoyable read. I understand why people were/are fond of this series - it lends itself to a lot of scenarios to explore. The world is expansive and fun to toy around with. I thoroughly enjoyed parts of it, though the some parts were not as enjoyable to read.

I gave it a 7.5/10 on vndb.

Really good read.

An absolute emotional rollercoaster. We follow Mark Borja and his friends in their primetime of their lives: highschool. It reminds me of a much shinier and simpler life then - as opposed to the story, which is far from rosy. In fact the setting is quite gritty and frankly, familiar to anyone who knows the Philippines. I recommend going into it completely blind and just enjoy where the game takes you.

As to non spoiler stuff: the art is great! Some of the music tracks that hit differently after having read the whole thing. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants an emotional read - the Filipino context adds to it but isn't a barrier for an international audience at all, in fact it might add a lot of charm to see a very different setting from what they're used to. The game also does a lot of cool visualization and mechanics which I haven't see much from other VNs/interactive stories.

If it was on vndb I'd give it an 8.5/10.

Amazing read.

428: Shibuya Scramble is the perfect mix of comedy, mystery and, suspense. It doesn't take itself seriously (at all) but also tells an engaging story from the perspective of multiple characters - with most incorrect choices spelling the death of the other characters or a ridiculous ending for the character, all to get to that fateful hour where all of their stories converge.

Through every twist and side story that the VN gave, I was hooked to read through to get to the bottom of everyone's case. While each story was engaging to read to various degrees, I felt invested enough and cared for what happened to each one of them, even the side characters. The way each story influenced each other was enjoyable to watch unfold. However the multiple timelines is also one of it's flaws - the lack of clarity on which stories continues which adds a level of tedium that is eliminated by using a guide, which sadly also removes the surprises of bad endings.

The live-action format, as opposed to the typical anime style, adds greatly to the read. Even with the escalating absurdity hour after hour, it helps that the characters remain grounded in reality (despite the ridiculousness) of it all. I wish to see more of that format in the future.

I highly recommend this VN to any reader. The read itself isn't too long nor overstays its welcome, I would advise not using a guide at the very start. I gave it a 9/10 on vndb.

Surprisingly great read.

Cyanotype Daydream was a surprisingly good read. The way the stories are intertwined with other stories was most noteworthy. I also enjoyed the world-building and sci-fi bits. It had a great premise and, a good buildup, but sadly falls short near the end to reach the highest of highs. Later on in the mad race to save everyone and wrap up everything, I find that it stumbles and the pacing suffers greatly. Nonetheless, a lot of the negatives can be overlooked because when the VN shines bright, it really does overshadow most of my gripes. I gave it a 9/10 on vndb.

It's pretty good.

Fluid and fast the gameplay is fun. The voice that talks to you in between fights is soothing. The music is also very empowering. Though the game may feel a bit unintuitive at the start versus the tutorial boss, but after that it doesn't really get that much harder (talking only about the base game), which says something. The game is significantly less fun when it takes away the gameplay. The walking segment is interesting but gets boring after the first few times. 7/10
