This game has great content and it is much more realistic in terms of resources. But its feels like playing an early access game. With the 1.01 update there are game breaking bugs that makes you annex massive nations like a small rebel group or the one that your allies can basically declaring war against you by supporting rebels.

Almost no nation that is big at the start of the game loses power the map stays mostly the same in timelapses. Ottomans cant overcome mamluks, no austria hungary, no russia, no polish lithuanian commonwealth

this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, its addictive. not only that but it had inspired me to learn about history which had led me to spend more time on thinking about it
