I always wanted to become an avid Paradox player. The first time I tried one of the studio's games was EU4 about 10 years ago. I was invested in the time period, but being a lifelong Total War enthusiast made the shift very difficult. I always preferred to engage in the battles. I've played HOI4, Cities Skylines, and am yet to play Imperator and Vicky 3. Crusader Kings 3 healed that "inaccessibility" wound that I felt for the past 10 years. It is not an easy game, but I feel its the easiest. I am better prepared for their other releases - I feel I've learned a lot about the paradox formula and how my mind operates only 16 hours in. CK3 is the perfect point to leap into the genre into. I just wish it had come sooner.

Gameplay is relatively fun but it gets way too repetitive fast. Dialogue is terrible, characters are super annoying.

Game feels waaay too drawn out. Just play their superior previous games.

Though a bit iffy, the final twist makes the slightly bloated story relatively well-worth the effort.

Took about 40 hours, but once I decided to ignore the fantasy elements with the help of a few mods, TROY is a solId semi-total war experience

My first introduction to metroidvanias was Hollow Knight earlier this year. After 25 hours of gameplay, I started to grow tired of its repetitveness, the end seemed to never come and while I wildly enjoyed the creativity, lore, and overall gameplay, it unfortunately was not able to keep me interested and I have not returned to it in months.

Blasphemous is my second attempt at starting and finishing a metroidvania and I can guarantee that while I am nowhere near the end, this one of the best games I've ever played. Do yourself a favour, get it, launch it, soak up the lore, familiarise yourself with the gameplay and delve into what will most definitely go down as one of the best games of all time.
