This used to be a fun game to play, however their most recent update has completely ruined the game.
They have forced in very invasive anticheat software(malware) that ruins the game for anyone who needed QOL mods be it for disability or old hardware, while barely affecting anyone who actually wants to be malicious in the game.
The majority of the community has come out against this and the devs have had their fingers in their ears the entire time while giving the middle finger to the community that made them as recognised as they are.
There are several alternatives out there, as of writing this review they are not as established as this game was, but given the massive exodus, I believe one of them may succeed in replacing VR Chat.

So far so good, I mostly bought this since it was cheap so I can join my friends, nothing to complain about so far

I've beaten it a few times over the years, but I consider it subpar compared to the original game and even the sequel. I really hope we get a revival of this franchise that brings it back to its roots.

Constantly crashes, old resolutions, horrid controller support, horrible camera options and bad physics, I have not had fun with this game at all, it really felt like a chore to play rather than it being fun.

Another issue I have is the forced online registration, don't even get me started on the issues involving that.

Castle story is a really good game, I love the building aspect of it the most because it really puts your mind to the test to find the best fortification. As this game is still unfinished I can see a lot of potential for story and future gameplay options.
This game is like a combination of Minecraft, Tower Defense and a building simulator, and it is that combination that really drew me to it, I have always been a fan of lego, minecraft and anything where I can build freely, I also love to be able to build structures and see how much they can take before giving in.

As for gameplay mechanics, the camera adjustment in game was a little tough to get used to at first, but I got used to it relatively fast, the graphics are smooth and lighting is really nice, there have been some issues with the characters in game not responding to a command every now and then and that has resulted in a few deaths, but that was a rare occurance.

my final thoughts are if you like minecraft, lego, defence games or if you want to try something new and cool then get this game, you can't go wrong.
