Samhain
Samuel Hainsworth the III
Texas, United States
"Samhain, or Sauin, was an ancient Celtic pagan festival, celebrated from October 31 to November 1, that marked the end of the harvest season, the beginning of winter, and the Celtic New Year. It was considered a liminal time when the veil between the living and the dead was thin, allowing spirits to cross over."

Samhain's traditions and customs bleed into All Hallow's Eve, and from there we have the Halloween we know now. The feeling of Autumn roosting in our hearts is rooted deeply in memory, and I live everyday to chase that homelike familiar feeling I grew up loving- the feeling of Autumn's End; of October.
