Destiny 1 day 1 player here (if you care), there have been ups and downs with this games but it remained my favourite game to date. The gun play, that was impressive in 2013, has only gotten better and now is delving deeper into the rpg side which gives more for hardcore players to focus on! (~80 hours on steam)

Edit: After 9 years, this game is getting kinda repetitive. I hope bungie can mix something up soon

Unfortunately, due to the unique market position that warthunder has with few real competitors, they have taken advantage of their player base. They have done this by gradually reducing rewards for the players so that they are between a half and a quarter of what they were just a few years ago. They do not respect player time investment in a free to play game. At the same time they have been adding new vehicles so they have reduced what you earn for each game and increased the number of shiny new things to get. However, they have also increased the price of paid content at the same time.

Premium vehicles, which roughly double your progress in the game, have received a notable price increase over the years. Top premiums have nearly doubled in price while previous high premiums have retained the same sticker price, while losing relevance and importance.

The game does not feel fun, which is further compounded by awful economy changes that have increased the time taken to get anywhere and required players to play only the most efficient vehicles to avoid losing progress, yes you can LOSE progress in this game. Each vehicle has a repair cost which must be paid to repair it, or wait a prohibitively long time (over a week) to repair it for free. This means that a poor game could see you lose in-game currency and a moderate game in a high-repair cost vehicle could see you still lose progress.

All in all, the developers do not look like improving anything soon and have made many tone deaf announcements over the years to the player base, as if we do not realise that f2p games need to make money. Its disappointing that their monetisation model is currently directly opposed to player enjoyment
