its pretty nice, had mine for 9 years, still works flawlessly, the only downside is the fact that there arent 2 analogue sticks, though the gyroscope works just fine

Europa Universalis IV is the grand strategy game that sets the standard for the genre. If you’re a fan of history, diplomacy, and complex political maneuvering, this game will consume your time and attention like no other.

You start with a nation in 1444, and from there, the world is your playground. Want to lead a small tribe to global dominance? Done. Want to recreate historical empires? You can. The game is as much about the stories you create as it is about strategy, and the sheer depth of mechanics—from trade and diplomacy to warfare and colonization—is staggering. Every decision has a ripple effect, and the AI is challenging enough to keep you on your toes, especially with the various difficulty levels.

The DLCs, while sometimes controversial due to their price, add significant content and depth to the game. Features like the Institutions system, Cossacks’ estates, and the introduction of new nations keep the gameplay fresh and ever-evolving.

However, this game isn’t for everyone. The learning curve is steep—really steep. The UI is packed with information, and new players might feel overwhelmed. But for those willing to invest the time, the reward is a rich, endlessly replayable experience.

Pros:

Deep and complex gameplay with vast replayability.
Endless possibilities for alternate history and strategy.
Engaging, dynamic world where your actions have lasting consequences.
Active development and content updates through DLCs.

Cons:

Steep learning curve that can be daunting for newcomers.
DLC model can be expensive for those who want the full experience.
Can become a serious time sink—say goodbye to your free time!

Conclusion: Europa Universalis IV is a masterpiece of strategy gaming. It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you’re willing to learn and dive into its deep systems, it offers one of the most rewarding strategy experiences out there. Highly recommended for fans of the genre, but be prepared to lose hours, days, or even weeks to this game.
