Early Access Review
Really fun game with friends, and the devs keep updating the game and it looks like they plan to do so for a long time (unlike other party/friend group games, which seem to get abandoned by devs quite often).

Really great if you have a group of 3 or 4 to play with! Can be frustrating to try to play solo or duo however.

Overall a very worthy successor to EU4, and probably the deepest and most fleshed out Paradox strategy release to date. This game feels very well thought out, very deep, and very content complete. This is the first time a Paradox release has felt like more than just "a good foundation" in a long time. This is more than just that, this is an excellent springboard for EU for the next decade. It's a damn good game, and one I'm going to sink hundreds, if not thousands of hours into.

There is some jank currently, and there are some situations which are clearly not yet as fleshed out as they should be (The Hundred Years War comes to mind), and some things aren't perfect, but the devs have been very proactive in fixing things, and frankly most concerns about polish and refinement will be a non-issue within a month or two.

If you're a fan of any kind of strategy game, this is pretty much the ultimate Grand Strategy Game, and this is absolutely worth your money and your time.

An excellent extraction shooter. I've been waiting for a game like this for a long time. An extraction shooter that has a deep and rewarding gameplay loop, but without the horrible development and sweaty mil-sim aspects of Tarkov.

Everything about this game is stellar. The gunplay, the sound design, the AI enemies, the coherency of loot and questing. It's all designed extremely logically and everything just feels like a cut above the competition in every way.

Even if you're not a huge fan of extraction shooters, this game might just change your mind. Absolutely give it a shot!

This is Battlefield back in form! Honestly, this feels like a next-gen BF4, and I'm loving it. The gunplay, mechanics, sound design, it all feels absolutely superb, and I haven't had this much fun in a AAA FPS since MW2019.

I see a lot of criticism for the map design (lots of "maps are too small" talk), but honestly, as someone who played BF4 a lot back in the day, the maps were VERY empty. Yes, BF6 does have tighter maps in general (except for a few), however the flow of action in those maps is superb and creates some really intense moments.

Honestly, the only thing I don't like about this game is the campaign. The campaign, as is the usual with Battlefield, is crap. The story feels like it was rushed and the gameplay of the missions is fairly generic. I'd recommend doing the campaign for the rewards it gives, but beyond that it's not what you should be buying this game for.

Overall, I love the game and I'm really excited to see what new stuff they add throughout the next year or two!

The game isnt optimized very well, but beyond that the gameplay is great. The story is decent, the writing is MILES better than in BL3, and the gunplay and movement feel absolutely fantastic.

Biggest downside with the game is the loot pool, IMO. Some gun manufacturers felt like they'd rarely ever drop. For example, I went an entire 30hrs of gameplay where I only got TWO Vladof assault rifle drops that were actually viable. However, this is simply a matter of balance so I'm sure that's an issue that will get smoothed out with drop rate tweaks over time.

Overall I do think this game is great. If you like Borderlands or looter-shooters in general, this game is worth your time.

Unfortunately, F1 25 advertises VR support despite the VR hardly functioning. The VR is extremely buggy, to the point that it will struggle to track your head movement at all. Any head movement results in extreme jittering, which is extremely nauseating and incredibly hard to play with.

The Force Feedback is also incredibly muted this year, and often bugs out and provides no feedback at all. It's a shame because other areas of this game show so much promise, but they, once again, didn't take time to polish the game. The fact that these issues are present over 2 months after release is not good.

Dune: Awakening is a hell of a good time to play. It's not anything revolutionary, and it doesn't promise to blow your mind with never-before-seen mechanics that seem impossible to develop. You've probably seen a lot of the mechanics in this game before.

Instead of reinventing the wheel, the devs have enhanced the wheel. This game is crammed full of great QoL and fun mechanics that blend together well. It really gives you a sense that this is a game made by actual gamers who wanted to make something fun.

As for the setting, it's fantastic. This game is very much Dune in every fiber of it's being. It's not just a Dune skinned survival game. Every aspect of this game is carefully crafted around the lore and setting of Frank Herbert's novels, with a lot of visual and sound inspiration from Villeneuve's Dune films as well. This game makes you absolutely feel immersed in Dune, and I love it. Something like this is long overdue for us Dune fans.

The game isn't perfect. It has flaws, and things that are "meh". There are currently some bugs, though I haven't encountered anything game breaking. The performance can hiccup in some areas, but nothing that has reduced my game to truly low FPS levels. But none of these things have ruined my fun.

Another important thing to consider currently, due to the flood of players at launch, it might be hard to get into the same servers as your friends as servers will eventually lock out new characters to prevent long queues. As a result of this, my group has a few folks who couldn't get into the same server as us last night, despite our server being at "low" pop status just a few hours prior.

That being said, this isn't a New World situation. The devs have absolutely been on top of spooling up new servers and increasing capacity quickly, so you won't have any issues getting into a server. But if being on the same server as your friends is currently an absolute must-have, and you aren't able to start at the same time as one another, maybe wait a week or two for the player spike to settle.

This is a great game and absolutely worth your money if you enjoy survival, base building, RPGs, and Dune. Good job, Funcom. I'm excited to see what the future holds for this game.
