I would definitely recommend this game if you are ok restarting multiple times, difficult survival, death around every corner, sitting there watching your character read books for hours on end, making newspaper hats, or generally trying to live through a zombie apocalypse. If you are not into those things I image this game is not really for you.

Do you want to find unique ways to see a colony die viciously? If so this game is for you!

When I think I have gotten the hang of things something invariably pops up to make my colony collapse. This drives me to try again with another less than ideal set of colonists! I love to see what happens, I love to see what the storytellers throw at me. I love to experience the character stories! I love this game. I have spent hundreds of hours and intend to spend even more.

Slay the spire is quick to play, it is extremely engaging, it is pleasantly difficult, and tons of fun. Hours and hours of entertainment.
