Early Access Review
Great game and well worth buying, wait for a free weekend to try and see if you like it first as its far more in depth than something like battlefield. It requires a lot to learn each role and every match is different. Would definitely recommend playing on the project awesome servers as they're really friendly and always get regular players coming back to it.

The best sim in my opinion, loads of fantastic mods and great physics as well as a great choice of cars and tracks. Definitely buy it in a sale, you'll save a fortune!

A good game but quite hard to learn. You need to know how to set up cars or be able to find some good set ups for them. This can be done in game by the set up sharing option so is less of a pain, although most base set ups are completely useless. I regularly play assetto and found that far easier to just jump in and go, however I do find that PCars2 is stunning visually and really rewards you when you get it right.

Personally I find drifting in this game really hard, I'm used to Assetto drifting and found the cars in this game to have a completely different physics system - almost pendulum like. This made it hard to learn and in the end, I gave up and stuck to doing normal racing.

Overall its a brilliant game with loads of cars and tracks but you need to work on car set ups to be competitive. If you don't care about being competitve and just want to jump in and out of various cars then its still great fun and well worth buying.

Expensive but worthwhile. Way cheaper on the iRacing website and you can find cheap deals for membership. It is subscription based and you get a good collection of cars included with that. Additional tracks are either 11.95USD or 14.95USD each and cars are 11.95USD each. I mainly play with the free tracks but you have to buy all the tracks in a series if you'd like to take part in that series, which is very expensive unfortunately and can limit you initially.

Official server races are usually every hour and you get a good mix of racing in these servers. Hosted servers are a grab bag and can be a mix of anything, it's all down to the host.

Unfortunately, you start in rookie class which can be hit and miss as to whether you get a good race or not as many people are just starting racing and do some insane stuff, like pull out of the pit lane right in front of you on your hotlap! That isn't a problem after you get through the rookie system and further. When you find a good race and drivers, it's exactly what you want from a sim, especially considering the community is friendly and helpful for the majority.

TLDR:
It's an awesome game if a little pricey, but does a far better job of multiplayer than Project Cars 2 and Assetto Corsa which I play regularly, albeit solo now. Would definitely reccomend but look around for discount codes first or wait for a promotion!
