If you grew up playing co-op campaigns with family and friends then this game is for you.

Valhiem presents a huge open world that takes ample amounts of time and dedications to explore. The Environment is procedurally-generated which leaves the player with a refreshing sense of discovery at every turn. I feel that this game does an excellent job at pacing you through the various biomes and bosses featured throughout the fogged out world of Valhiem. Step into the Swamp without proper armor/anti-poison mead, you're toast. Walk around the freezing trails of the Mountain without warm clothes or frost mead, you're a popsicle, or better yet, dog food.

The gameplay of Valhiem is satisfying to say the least. The combat system feels good, almost dark souls-ish. Exploring new biomes with the boys brings a sense of wonder and adventures, while simultaneously putting you on edge because you do not know what kind of new monsters you will be facing. The hunger system is pretty intuitive and does not hold you back. You can spend you entire play session just building and not worrying about food.

Multiplayer on Valhiem is great, up to a point. From my experience, having 6+ players in one small area of the maps creates fps issues, desync, and weird bugs (like a flying lox lol). That being said, a good way to prevent these issues is to either, find a smaller group of players to tag along with (4-5 seems to be a sweet spot), or simply venture away from the big herd.

As it stands, This game is early access and you will hit a wall eventually like I did, but I have a feeling that the devs will turnout more content and tweak the game to make it run better. I look forward to future updates and content to be added to this already exhilarating game.
