Really fun game unless you hit one of the game breaking bugs in the Naix mission tree, So you have to know what missions to do and in what order to get past a certain point and not bug your game save. Still a great game, hope they patch the bugs soon though

the only real fun I've had in this game is when spawning on the "battlefield" style servers that give you starter waepons and its a free for all. Every other server you spawn you collect some items and die the first time you meet someone else, or a bear, or a mutated bear, etc. This game may yet be fun, one day. but until that day. I'll regret that I didn't buy StarForge instead. at least then I could be on an infinite procedurally generated world. If your thinking of getting this game, I would suggest giving either StarForge or The Forest a shot. You will probably have more fun. Unless you just love dealing with doucery and griefing from the current community.

* edit* Months later I still think I've wasted my money. Most servers have toxic communities, Unless you go in with a group of friends and buy it, it is a waste of $20. even if you do, i'm not convinced it still isn't a waste

Really fun game, still in beta so there are some bugs and missing features but there is so much in the game already and a huge commitment from the devs to keep adding things up to full release and at least 1 year after. If you liked Terraria you will love Starbound!

I highly recomend this game, especially since its in the summer sale right now for almost nothing!
