Having played this game's predecessor 20XX (free on Epic at the time) around the time this game was announced, led me to gain some interest in the new title. I had enjoyed 20XX, a fair bit and wanted to see how it would evolve in the next installation. I began following 30XX shortly after it's announcement and grabbed it pretty early into it's early access phase. (Late 2021/Early 2022)

30XX blew me away. The updated art-style, new & improved items, music, gameplay, all are wonderful when working together. I loved seeing the unique redesigns of the main characters (Ace & Nina), seeing old items return, and new items find their place, getting that fresh feeling that I loved in the first game. This game just delivered it with a lot more punch.

Over the course of it's early access, I would sink a few hours in here or there, trying out the new items and working at beating whatever content was available. Playing before even stage 7 or 8 were introduced (Dustria & Capital Punishment/Watergrav & Experiment 9).

With each new content patch I'd return and find joy in experiencing the new content.
Eventually the 1.0 patch rolled around, this came came out of early access. I decided to delicate myself to completing the story around this time (which happens to be pretty well executed).

I was brought emotions I haven't felt towards a game in a very long time when I reached stage 9. The level bringing every challenge until that point together. And the music, the music still hits me every time I get to that level.

(TL;DR after my rant)
If you are interested in MMX style games, with a helping of rouge-like elements, 30XX is for you. Psuedo-Random level generation (Chunks marked for specific points during a level), plenty of items and builds, various powers and unique interaction, and a fairly robust meta-progression makes it all the good of a rouge-like. Easy to pick up and put down. I urge you to try it out for yourself, and perhaps you too will come to enjoy this game as much as I.

This game goes hard.
This game delivers in every aspect I could ever dream of.
Launching the game I was instantly hit by the sound design, putting me in the mood instantly. Hoping right into the action it was easy to learn the basics and begin my quest to rip and tear. As I progressed through the game I slowly learned tricks and skills required to master the challenge and become even more efficient at slaying demons.

This game provides hours of entertainment for people at any skill level. With multiple playable modes, tons of things to unlock and plenty of ways to hone your skills, you might find yourself in a trance like state, blasting demons and banging your head to the music.
There's no reason not to pick this game up if you like intense gameplay and feeling like a god.

Comparing this to the Oculus software, this is tens of times better. Lightweight UI, Low resource consumption, Add-Ons and Overlays, It's Customizable. I'd say the only thing i want added to this program would be more buttons on the keyboard. Currently the keyboard is limited to alpha-numeric characters and a select few other keys. If I could get the @ symbol and a tab key I would be happy. (Pings on discord) This is the go to VR system and I think everyone knows that. PS: Don't buy anything by Oculus, it's kinda bad.

Early Access Review
Games pretty fun.
Weapons in this game carry a very realistic weight to them, and the physics engine is very different from most. If you have not heard of this game by now then I'm fairly surprised. With the addition of magic and mod support the game has literally infinite possibilities. You turn on some good music and get lost in the endless waves of slaughter for hours. This is definitely an incredibly well made game from a near one man team for most of it's development.
