I bought this game not interested in it at all, and for some reason this is my go to game now.

Actually surprised the campaign has bad reviews... Look at it this way: The series was destroyed by Halo 4 and 5, and while there were SOME good things about both those games, by and large, they were terrible (they basically went in a completely non-halo feeling direction).

That being said, this campaign was AS CLOSE AS YOU CAN GET to a return to classic halo feel. I've heard complaints that it's "broken", but to be fair, halo was ALWAYS broken. It's unfortunate that this gets such bad reviews, because overall, I thought if this was what Halo 4 was like, I think it would have been a good addition. I think part of the reason that the game was so underrated is because it has been foreshadowed by the previous two. I thought that the banished being the main enemy, was actually a really good idea... I've been a huge fan of the Halo Wars games, and the banished I thought were a cool faction that made sense.

That being said, do I recommend it? If you've been a fan of the original Halo games, then yes... Multiplayer isn't worth it though, so you should essentially play the campaign, and not the multiplayer. I would highly recommend this to finish off the halo series correctly, after the abhorrent previous two titles.

Fun game, lots of fun playing with friends while drinking
