i don't quite remember when i originally got this game, but i can remember the older mechanics of iron ore being an actual resource that you had to mine and then smelt to get iron scrap. i haven't played in awhile but decided to check out the changes lately.


its gutted itself, dumbed it down insufferably so, i remember when they removed iron ore from the game and was like "that's an odd choice, it doesn't really change anything cause they also changed smelting times". but i've recently heard about some other changes and just can't ignore whats happening with the development of this game that i used to love playing with friends on servers with.

apparently this happened a couple years ago but they removed glass jars? now when you drink things the bottle just disappears? even tho ive kept the game up to date for the last several years i never looked into what changed, and i cant believe how the devs literally make bad choice after bad choice, and now ive been looking at the storms brewing patches and its just... not even the same game anymore, its a game i wouldnt have bought 3 years ago (around the time glass jars were removed).

its probably still fun cause you can mod those things back in, but the devs have made decisions that are far removed from the main reason people found it a great game a half-decade+ ago
