A masterpiece of music, visual art style, atmosphere and gameplay. Somehow improving on already amazing first game, it truly is not only one of the best metroidvanias, but also one of the best games of this decade.

Early Access Review
Absolutely hilarious game playing co-op in a group. Definitely worth the price for the amount of time one can spend playing just goofing around together with friends.

Suprisingly good and responsive combat combined with quite unique for the genre visual style.

Game offers 3 weapon types, all different from each other, letting you choose between slow powerful attacks, much quicker but low damage ones or a balanced 'quality' option. There's also a skill tree with a wide variety of abilities to unlock for all weapon types as well as bonuses for parrying and dodging.
Bosses are challenging but fun to the point you don't want to stop the next attemts after dying.

In summary the game has huge potential to take the seat at the top of the souls-like genre games (that are not from FromSoftware) right next to Lies of P.

Another visually stunning adventure after just playing "Journey", this time going underwater.

There's not much to say about it, but the simple, yet enjoyable story will have you exploring underwater worlds from lush forests, through ruins all the way down to the greatest depths.
A very relaxing experience, finishing which takes less than 4 hours.

Small beautiful adventures like these are the reason video games should be considered an art form and should also be a reason to support all the small independent studios making them.

Short, yet great visual and emotional adventure. Game tells the tale of a wanderer and that wanderer's remarkable journey. Wonderful music and landscapes with all the smallest details in between make it stand out between other games.

Journey is one of gaming's most beautiful achievements.

An absolutely wonderful experience, very well polished, optimized and beautiful game with with funny moments and jokes through the whole game. I have finished it for the second time (first being on Xbox in 2022) and had just as much joy playing it now as I had the first time.

Very clever writing tackling themes like mental health and human psyche and incredibly enjoyable gameplay with fun to look for collectibles and achievements make it and all-round top game. One of, if not the best game of 2021.

If you did not have the chance to play this game and/or you're not sure if it's worth buying, do yourself a favor and buy it ASAP.

As great as the game is, I cannot recommend it due to the stuff that Sony is doing with restricting all the countries that don't have PSN (they're doing the same thing with Ghost of Tsushima currently).

F*ck Sony.

--6 months update: Game still great, Sony still sh*t.

Last one in the trilogy, Dark Souls III is a really nice conclusion to the series. The improved graphic quality is seen from the get-go with absolutely beautiful skyboxes and big diversity of enemies, as well as new smooth animations making the fights, both PvP and PvE a lot of fun, yet the game has some negatives as well.
Finishing any NPC questlines is close to impossible without a guide, because of characters' unintuitive positioning from one part of the quest to another. The game punishes you for not looking up info if you want to get an alternative ending or finish a NPC questline.
Many people complained about Dark Souls 2 world being incoherent, yet the third game suffers from it even more (DS3 has an actual explanation for it, but the explanation is quite weak).
Still, the atmosphere in the game is wonderful and art design is brilliant as always, with voice acting being one of the best I've ever heard. Both main game and DLCs were really fun with some of the best boss fights in video games ever. The character movement is excellent and you can feel the weight of any kind of weapon you're using, with huge selection and diversity of those weapons.

All in all, Dark Souls III is a very good closing of the series and personally almost on par with Dark Souls II. It's one of the best trilogies I've played and I'll be very eager to replay all three games in the future.

PS.: Majula is still the best hub.

After fully finishing the game, playing DS1 previously and liking it very much, I honestly love the second game much more.
It's hard for me to pin down exactly why a lot of people hate it, although I know many people base opinion on nostalgia or are jumping on the bandwagon.
For negatives i suppose the world design is not so cohesive and some areas have an unispired level design (for example Earthen Peak), but wow do some of those places look great.
On the plus side combat is more tactical with choosing the right damage type and methods of attack, enemies have better tracking, stamina is consumed much more, so you can't just roll and spam attacks like in DS1. I also like the player animations and don't mind the ADP stat at all (got through the whole game barely leveling it).

Amongst the many things Dark Souls teaches us, is to adapt. So I adapted and I've had so much fun playing it. Now, last part of the trilogy awaits...

TL;DR: Game Good, Not Bad.
