The first time I booted up Arma 3 I was clueless. I didn't know what to do and felt directionless. Shortly after booting up the game, I shut it down again. But then, cue to a few years later.

I tried it again. And I've sorta fallen in love with this game and its sandbox properties. Now, I have a mod library which triples the size of the game itself. I truly enjoy playing all various PvE gamemodes with friends. Escape, Antistasi (my all-time favourite) or Dynamic Recon Ops. All amazing, and all handbuilt by the community. Heck, I even joined a unit for weekly operations.

This game is old, and to be honest... it shows. However, the gameplay properties and the fact how modders have made the most elaborated missions and gamemodes makes this one of my favourite games to play. There's nothing like liberating an island in Antistasi with a few friends. Or just booting up a quick mission in Dynamic Recon Ops. Or getting together with your unit for an operation with around 60+ people directed by a Zeus. Don't get me wrong, I still hate the friendly AI when I try to play solo, but that's something I try to avoid. There's even many features missing (like a proper vaulting system), but luckily there's dozens of mods which fill those shoes and can elevate your gameplay.

I would highly recommend trying this game out. Especially if you're into tactical shooters (and would prefer PvE over PvP). There's nothing like Arma 3. Install a few mods and previously mentioned gamemodes and start enjoying Arma 3 to it's fullest.
