Fun game, easy to pick up mechanics, great with local coop. If you like Hades, grab a couple of buds and enjoy the next best thing but multiplayer.

It's basically X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter with different loadouts on every ship that make even the same fighter play very differently from another with a different loadout. It is kind of annoying that it stick you straight into the prologue to the campaign vs. going to the main menu to configure, but, shouldn't be a problem more than once. Requires logging in to EA servers which isn't great, but, is fairly seamless after the first login.

If you used to play games like Ikaruga, Geometry Wars, Jamestown, etc. you'll love this game.

I've become kind of obsessed.
It's amazing the different ways you can upgrade the ship to get completely different gameplay.

There's so many combinations of ship parts
Makes every game feel like piloting something completely new and different you build up from the ground up
Want to use drones, mines, and fighters to wipe out your enemies? Got ya covered.
Want to shoot a heat lance, spread shot, missiles, micro pulsars? Got ya covered.
Want to turn your ship itself into a kinetic weapon?
Got ya covered. It goes on and on and on.

Cons:
Capped at 60 fps.
Menu and UI is a bit rough, but, not not likely what they'll push to retail once it goes gold.


None of the cons really hinders the experience too much and I'm not sure if they'll even be problems still once they leave early access.
