Biggest waste of life I've ever used

Game is good

I don't normally review games. Much less, games that feature funny anime style protagonist. That being said, something about this game struct me in a way that few games have truly done so before. It's a strange phenomenon, especially considering that I don't usually play survival horror. I think this speaks volumes about what rose engine, a team of two people mind you, had managed to put together over their time working on this game.

What got me to buy the game was a few friends who had become absolutely obsessed with the game talking about it in a voice chat one night. Curious, I looked up the game on Youtube and watched a brief analysis of the game. While I don't remember who created this analysis, I remember them saying something along the lines of, "I know this game looks like some weird anime game, trust me, I thought it too, but I am glad I gave the game a chance.". While I was still a bit hesitant, the game was relatively cheap at the time, so I decided to take the plunge.

While I'm not one to talk about game play or anything, as I'm quite bad at writing, I will say this: it's good. The combat felt decent and not too over the top, and I only had a few minor gripes with the whole "aiming" system. The six item limit also felt very limiting, and not exactly in a good way. Still, the game was more than playable. The puzzles, while definitely made me think, weren't over the top or crazy for a game of this type. Then there is the real kicker for this game, the story. This game will have you thinking about it for weeks/months after you've played it, almost constantly.

Overall, I would highly, highly recommend you pick this game up. You'd be supporting the passion project of a lovely two person studio that clearly put their heart and soul into making this game. With an average first play through time of around 9-10 hours, you won't be stuck on this game for a very long time either, making it an enjoyable little experience. If you are a fan of silent hill, resident evil, or survival horror in general, this game pays a lot of homage to those titles so I've been told, and I believe you would enjoy it.
