Deltarune is only over a little halfway done and it's already a masterpiece in my eyes. If you loved Undertale you *will* love this, but if you didn't, please give it a shot.

Go into it blind if you can, but if you've been spoiled it's still 100% worth the experience.

Echoes of the Eye is a contentious dlc among Outer Wilds' fanbase. I think a lot of this comes from the initial frustration with the puzzles combined with the aspect of fear. I get it, its very different, and it can feel like a step away from the base game's ideas and elements.

But here's the thing; it's not.

When first starting Outer Wilds you fear death. Not only is it a setback in figuring out the mystery and solving puzzles, but it also can be quite jarring and visceral. But as you play you get used to the constant threat of death; sometimes death even serves to speed up your progress, preventing you from wasting the rest of your loop.

But Echoes of the eye serves to take you back to the beginning, and makes death something to be feared. You will be paranoid, nervous, constantly vigilant to the unknown. But as you go on you begin to find that fear disappearing, but some never lose that feeling.

Spoilers for Outer Wild's base game ending and EotE ahead:

I think the thing that will always stand out to me about this dlc is that realization that the only way to bypass the final lock is to snuff out your life. In most cases in OW, death is a condition of failure, a setback or barrier. But in EotE death is the solution - but not the end.

The cold silence that occurs when you walk across the bridge to the final lock is both triumphant and terrifying. Passing that bridge to the final lock and taking the core to the spaceship feel like two sides of the same coin. Death is no longer holding you back so to speak in both cases.

At the end of EotE you make the prisoner realize that even after death their actions guided the nomai. Just as the nomai guided you. And you, you will guide the next universe.

If there's anything I took away from OW and EotE its this: death is not the end. Your actions have more influence than you will ever know. You can either lock yourself away from the world because of your fear, or you can confront it regardless.

Gender envy with light action-rpg elements.

(A really cute game with a complex and challenging combat system)

God I wish I was her.

Amazing chill game. Gives vibes that I haven't felt in a game for a long time. Great place to connect with random people on the internet.

HOWEVER: The "grincher" hacker problem needs to be addressed ASAP. As well as various performance issues.

I highly recommend regardless!
