Yonder: The Cloud Chronicles is an enjoyable adventure game that gives you a variety of things to do. It is a nice breath of fresh air in this vast sea of video games. Prideful Sloth has shown us that you can actually enjoy a game that has no violence or fighting in it. The main focus of exploration is something not many games do anymore, throw in some crafting, fishing, farming, questing, and the game offers you so much to do. The story is charming and heartfelt making it a truly spectacular work of art. Prideful Sloth took the chance of sharing their vision with us in an industry that focuses a lot on review scores and critic opinions. Hero of the Kingdom is a fun little point and click adventure with a slight hidden object element to it. The game has you playing the son of a farmer whose farm gets destroyed by bandits. What happens next is the start of your adventure into this interactive story.

The gameplay is pretty basic, but for a casual game its a lot of fun! The fetch quests, and other various side quests are pretty much what you would expect from an RPG game.

There are a couple annoying features such as not being able to buy/sell items in bulk, and running out of strength after a couple battles, but this doesn't deter you from enjoying the game. The one feature I would like to see in the sequel is for the collectible hidden object side of the game, they need to add a completion meter for each map so the player is not having to use a magnifying glass to find the last couple of missing items.

The game is short and can be completed in about 5 hours if you are trying to 100% the achievements. If you just play the story its about a 2-3 hr game. Great game for the money! I give this a solid 8/10!

9/10 - Gone Home is not your typical game, its more of an interactive story. I never read the reviews on the game, but I did get recommendations from friends to buy and play this game.

The game revolves you controlling Kaitlin Greenbriar as she returns home from her travels in Europe. When she gets home she finds an empty house and a unnerving note from her sister on the door. The game is played in first person view and their is no shooting, killing, or intense action to be found in this game. Is that a bad thing? NO, not if you are a fan of point and click adventure games, visual novel games, or interactive stories.

The game is short and can be finished in an hour if you speed through it, but if you are an explorer like me it will take you between 2 and 3 hours to finish this. This game is not for everyone as there is no interactions, but exploring the house, reading notes, and listening to journal entries and cassette tapes. As I explored the Greenbriar home and found the notes and clues, I was fearing the worst outcome for this family. That is what made this game so compelling and the story so well written. The true story of the game and the ending was not what I was imagining in my mind.

Was this game worth $20? Probably not, but due to the cost of developing a game I'm sure it was considered a fair price. I bought the game during the Summer Sale and paid $5 for it, but after playing through this wonderful story I would gladly have paid more.

I would love to see The Fullbright Company make another game like this with a longer story. Do I recommend this game? HELL YEAH I DO!

I love this game, but I was a huge FATE player too. I'm so excited that Torchlight 2 is in development.
