Good game even 12 years later, very nice level/dungeon design and I'm enjoying the slower paced combat compared to DS3/ER. The world has a cool and nostalgic feel to it, and probably has my favorite 'vibes' of the souls games. Definitely frustrating at times, if you don't know what's coming you'll die to some random BS, like an elevator that decides to keep going up higher into impaling spikes.

The lack of fast travel between bonfires is probably the most frustrating aspect. I was at the bonfire in the middle of Blighttown, while cursed (half max HP permanently) and my main upgraded weapon was broken, so I had to slog through blighttown with dozens of attempts. I ended up finding my way back up, cleansed the curse and upgraded a new weapon without touching a bonfire, and finally homeward bone back to the swamp, which is just crazy IMO.

Also Invaders always beat me, I can't win PVP
