fantastic game, my only regret is i havent finished it yet!

i played this game when it first came out, it wasnt anything special but i loved it, i wanted a space game and they brought what i wanted. now looking at it its become everything they said it would. granted, a long time after launch but its hear and they are still adding things to this game. keep it up hello games.

**UPDATE** Watch this for some one someone who shed a little light on why they released this DLC and makes total sense. i wasnt fully aware of their Lawsuit but now it makes it even more clear.**

Im gonna rant here so if you want a quick review of the game then skipp to the bottom.

The devs have done a great job with this game, the amount of hours ive unk into this game is the most ive ever spent on one game. ive made some pretty cool friends playing Ark, and I still find my self coming back, or thinking what im going to do next.

I've had this game since Day 1. and even though it had very poor opitmization at the time of it, i still played the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ out of the game. it was un real. and i watched ark grow more and more popular, taking the leap to add the steam work shop, and hosting mod contests where they will even pick players mods to make into full fledged maps or addons. it shows just how much the devs care for their players. on top of that we only paid, what, $25.00 (US dollars) to have such a great game??? and they are still adding things to the game to make it great.

Now they released a DLC for it for $20 dollars. and all of the sudden people are flipping the ♥♥♥♥ out over it? you have paid a grand total of $45 (roughly) dollars to play an awesome game regaurdless of the fact that its still in "Early Access". The game might as well be completed, and they are just upgrading it more and more as its developed further and further down the road. I understand people dont like the fact that the devs have put out a paid DLC for a game that the devs are considering early access, but the fact is ive put more hours into a game that they are considering not finished then i have with a game i have spent $60 dollars on. And on top of that the people commenting have barely spent more then 200+ hours in game (with the minor acception of like 3 or 4 people) leads me to think that they have no idea about how much fun ark truely is. Ark has been a fabulous game, and i regret nothing about any of the purchases ive made, including buying the DLC, with new DLC to come.

Now my review of the game plus its paid DLC
Ark (Base Game)
+ Lots, and lots of dinos, with more being added.
+ Depending on the server, you can meet so really cool people.
+ The isnt the best building ive seen but its still great.
+ The PvP can be fun at times, but never truely what drove me to play it.
+ Breeding is awesome and very rewarding if you put enough time into it.

- The fact i cant rotate builind piece still bothers me.
- The cages are very agrivating on PVP servers and i wish they never existed.
- Ive had some crashing with this recent patch but im sure that will be fixed.

Scorched Earth (DLC)

+ The new creatures to tame are fun.
+ It gave ark a refreshing taste for me which i despirately needed from it.
+ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Dragons are the ♥♥♥♥!
+ The dificulty on the addon was supprising but very welcomed
+ The fact you can transfer dinos from scorched earth over to the base game is awesome.

- The difficulty can be a bit much for some solo players, especially those who havent played ark before.
- the storms are cool, but over all a little un needed.
- Not enough dinos in scorched earth.
- Oil is now in oil deposites, and are only located litterally on a quater of the map.
