If you like the idea of playing a round of Elden Ring with the boys, this is perfect for you.

Doesn't take long to appreciate this game. This Baldur's Gate is probably going to be game of the year.

This is a wonderful hidden gem, do not let this game fly under your radar. To briefly describe this game, it is an upgraded Stardew Valley with Terraria combat and items. The NPC automation is amazing, the open world is limitless, and you can freely build however you want. I truly hope the developers keep up with this game because i would love to play more!

This is only a positive review due to the game being under construction and the developer is actively working on problems.

There is a strong appeal for the Minecraft + Space exploration experience, however in its current state Outerverse is difficult to enjoy. There are numerous bugs that take away away the fun. Average mobs are awful, visual problems that cause game play issues, and lag. Bugs aside, the game currently does not feel smooth or user friendly.

There are things that I enjoyed with the game, the space exploration, the wonky nature of gravity on a square world, and the random stuff that happens from the environment (such as meteors).

This game absolutely needs multiplayer.

Here are the issues explained in more detail:

The mobs don't look like they belong in this game, most of the 3D models do not fit with the Pixel feel of the game. Every enemy damages you by walking into you at a slow walking pace.
Titans on the other hand, look amazing in every way. The only thing that needs improvement is they aren't a threat. The only challenge behind fighting them is getting the required items, not the fight itself.

Visual errors are abundant, 1x1 blocks will sometimes turn into 4x4s (or larger). You cannot mine these blocks, and you cannot place blocks on them to scale them. If you do manage to scale over these blocks, you will fall through them the moment you touch the top. This bug seems like it can happen to any block, including those that are supposed to be under the ground. This happens at random and effects large areas, causing sections to be completely blocked off.

The tutorial is pretty rough, I would compare it to redstone tutorials without visual references.. and while the game does provide schematics, inexperienced players will not understand the mechanics behind what they made. Machine mode is going to be a lot of information to digest do to its clunky nature.

The game is not user friendly, for example instead of just cooking iron in a smelter you have to build a dispenser load it with fire, place down 1 ore in front of the dispenser and press a button to activate the dispenser. This game uses the same flint/gravel mechanics as minecraft.. but unlike minecraft you need flint for fuel to smelt iron... Your going to be digging that stack of gravel in your inventory several times over to progress.

I have hopes for the game. Again the developer is actively tackling problems, hopefully with perseverance this game will reach its potential.

Whoever decided that it was a good idea to litter the campaign full of trick shots, screw you.
