The scariest part of Killing Floor 3?

The shader compilation boss that ambushes you on launch, complete with brain-melting heavy metal that feels like it was made for the Patriarch, not a loading screen.

Unfortunately, the rest of the game is pretty forgetful except for how far it has sunk from the original.

Gone are the days of simply earning dosh during rounds and trading up for better guns. That simple, satisfying loop has been replaced by a weapon upgrade system that's unoriginal, grindy and unrewarding. In return for all joy of KF1 being sucked away, you get DLSS AI visuals that make input feel like you're six beers deep at a bucks party. Cheers.

The one silver lining (Besides the epic Shader-boss music) is that almost no one owns it. So if your partner can't get into Helldivers 2 because the squad’s always full, grab a copy of KF3 for them instead, they won't have any issues finding free slots!

RIP Killing Floor.

Edit: Also, throwing your money at the end of the game didn't make the cut apparently.
