Guns. Lots of guns
Cyberpunk is a game of buts. The combat/sneaking is extremely fun and versatile, but too often enemies would get stuck inside of objects with no way to kill them. The parkour aspects of the game work well, but too often some weird geometry would halt my character for no reason. The beautiful world of Night City is so incredibly detailed, yet the civilians act so lifeless and dull it pulls you out of the experience. To see a beloved developer release a game so buggy and so clearly unfinished, it makes sense for many to be disappointed with such a massive title.

Despite that, I still sunk nearly 180 hours into this game (CORPO, Female V, LV50/SC50). Cyberpunk is carried by its characters, quests, and storyline. Most characters you meet, and there are a LOT of characters, are unique, interesting, and have more personality than the vast majority of other open-world games. The choices you make with these characters however are what truly defines how you, V, will take on Night City and how you want the story to end.

Is it hard? Yes. Will you want to quit halfway? Yes. Should you? Absolutely not. Sekiro is an experience that demands your attention. What you'll find through this difficult experience is not only satisfaction from killing an incredibly hard boss but also an engaging story spanning throughout the entire experience that'll result in a thematic ending. As you slowly progress through this story, you'll find yourself becoming more skilled the same way the Wolf sharpens his sword. You'll find yourself engaged with interesting characters that will show how you, the wolf, want the story to end.

Even with all of the issues this PC port has, the game is still incredibly fun to play. Because the world is so vast, beautiful, and dangerous, it leads the player to utilize every tool they're given to their max potential. Combine that with the incredibly detailed and monstrous creatures, it creates a thrilling experience in nearly every corner of the game. But even with all fun mechanics the game has to offer, I feel that the story lacked major story moments to truly make it a memorable experience.

Half Life Alyx not only shows that VR is not a gimmicky trick but also proves how future technologies can truly bring a greater experience. Valve has created a world that fully immerses you into a world like no other. You will hear things crawl in the vents above. You will engage with others and reminisce what it was like before the world came to a halt. You will experience supernatural events in a way not possible on a 2D screen. It is hard to believe a VR experience will be any better than experiencing it on the monitor. But trust me. By the time you take off that VR helmet, you will forget what your living room looks like just a few moments before.

Although the approach to make almost every single object be able to react to physics makes sense on paper, it can at times make the experience frustrating to play. Even worse, the story is extremely bare bones which by the end makes you feel like you wasted your time. Even though the tools you do get to play with are creative and fun to use, they ultimately did not create an experience that made me want to continue playing after the credits rolled. Ultimately, this is a fun sandbox game that will last until you run out of stuff to do.

At first, I didn't think the dark souls approach would fit well within the Star Wars universe. But after finishing the game, I only want more. Despite this high praise, the game's biggest problem is the abundance of glitches throughout the experience. I recommend getting this game a few months after launch so these issues can be fixed. But it still doesn't change the fact that they were there in the beginning and had a heavy affect on what I perceived to be a well-crafted game.

There is little doubt that when this game launched the backlash against the game and developers were extremely heavy. Despite this, the developers pushed on to make a game far greater than what they initially promised. What seemed at first to be a barren wasteland is now a universe teeming with life and possibility.

In my eyes, this game is perfect. Everything including the interesting characters, incredible sound track, mind-numbing puzzles, and enthralling set pieces are combined to make an experience that makes it stand above every other game I've played. Combine that with the wonderfully crafted multiplayer mode, there is no doubt in my mind that this is my favorite game.
