The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine

Finally the story of Geralt comes to an end, and although it's sad to say goodbye, you may rest assured that the ending to this tale is a pleasant one. After such a long and crazy adventure this feels like the right place to settle down and put the swords away for a while.

This expansion brings an absolutely massive amount of new content into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and while the main story felt a bit lacking in certain areas when compared to the Hearts of Stone expansion, the new massive world and amount of content within it can easily than make up for it.

Overall I would give The Witcher 3: Blood & Wine a 10/10. I believe that CDProjekt Red did an amazing job with this expansion, and that the ending to Geralt's story is a very satisfying one.

Half-Life 2 was a pleasant surprise.

There was a time when I had never quite understood what was so special about the Half Life series, but looking back at it now, it was a far better experieance than I had ever imagined. Especially when compared to many of the modern titles that are being released today.

I'm not the best when it comes to writing reviews so I'll keep it short. Overall I think that Valve greatly improved on the foundation that that the original Half-Life set, both in terms of gameplay mechanics, and more importantly the story elements that I felt the original was lacking.

In Half-Life 2 nearly all of these things have improved, and the story has much more depth while also involving the character far more than previously. The gameplay also feels very smooth and most of the original issues I had previously encountered are now fixed, and surprisingly I happened to encounter very few bugs.

Half Life 2 is a solid 10/10 in my book. It improved massively, has aged well, and overall is a very fun experience.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The world is absolutely massive and full of places to discover, people to meet, monsters to slay, and so much more!

All of this in along with the characters that you come to know and stories told throughout the game manages to create one of the best experiences that I've had in a video game.

However, that's not to say that there aren't issues, because there are. The combat in my opinion is a good example of this, as it has quite a few balance issues and can become somewhat repetitive after a while. But aside from that I rarely, if ever encountered any game breaking issues.

CDProjekt Red managed to create an amazing game in a time when such a thing isn't common anymore, and even went the extra mile by creating several free DLC's and two expansions that have been said to be better than the base game.

That, among many other reasons, is why I believe The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has earned itself a well deserved 10/10.

Dying Light - The Following

While the story in particular isn't unique, the massive open world in combination with the parkour mechanics, customization, and Co-op multiplayer mode make for a very enjoyable experience.

Should you decide to purchase this game, I would also advise that you look at The Following DLC, as it heavily expands on the story of the game on a new map, adds a variety of new zombies, weapons and skills, and customizable vehicles.

Overall I would recommend Dying Light to anyone who enjoys open world survival games, Assassin's Creed style parkour, or those looking for a fun Co-op game to play with friends.

Note: This review is for both Dying Light and The Following DLC

Early Access Review
7 Days to Die

*Update as of July 23rd, 2025.

This is perhaps now more true than ever before, and as such, my review is being switched to "Negative" for the time being, as a means of contributing to the current community backlash & outcry for change.

As a Veteran Player of 7 Days to Die, who has supported the game since the very beginning, I stand with the current views & criticisms from both the Community & Content Creators.

---

7 Days to Die is an amazing game, with an enormous amount of potential, but also has a very long road ahead of it, where I fear a great many things could still go wrong, even after all this time.

I feel as though they're attempting to change the core of the game, and in doing so slowly moving away from their original vision. Not that these changes are necessarily bad, but it feels like they're not what 7 Days to Die was originally intended to be.

Personally I believe that The Fun Pimps should focus their efforts on improving and expanding upon their original vision of the game. Because as it stands, it feels as though at times they're trying to change certain aspects of the game so greatly, that they've begun to lose their way.

And in doing so, they appear to be stuck in a cycle of redesigning, and recreating many of the same things over, and over again, due to a lack of creative direction.

However, I strongly believe that The Fun Pimps have good intentions and only want the best for this game. I only hope that they do not fall into a darkness of which they cannot escape, as so many other developers have.
