If you are interested enough in this game to be reading reviews, just buy it. I, like you, was intrigued by the world and the story the trailers presented me with. I, like you, was skeptical of the gameplay since I had never played a game like it before. Trust me when I say that I, like you will soon, absolutely loved my time with this game.

The Story? Immaculate
The Gameplay? Stellar
The Soundtrack? Absolute Banger
The World? Enchanting
The Characters? Incredibly Compelling

I can't currently think of a single thing I dislike about this game. 10/10 GOTY.

FOR THOSE WHO COME AFTER!!

I love this faction, the chaos dwarfs are so fun to play. Running an industrial empire is amazing and adds a little more decision making to the kingdom building. Their units are incredibly designed and so fun to use, particularly the K'daii units.

However, to absolutely no one's surprise, I am of the opinion that $25 is a ridiculous price to charge for this faction. Scratch that, not just this faction, ANY faction. No faction is worth half the price of the entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. Unfortunately this appears to have become the standard dlc price for total warhammer, partially my fault I guess for buying this thing, and it is outrageous. These games have already charged too much to become full games and now it is getting even worse.

Will you have fun with this faction? Absolutely they're a blast to play. Will you potentially be ruining the pricing of all future DLC? Yes, probably. Does this matter to you? Up to you obviously, I mean I still bought it so I can't judge.

TL;DR:
Amazing faction, absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ price

The singleplayer experience is pretty great and unique. The game doesn't feel as good as dishonored (especially not stealth wise) but it has enough charm to make up for it and be a game definitely worth playing through once (though subsequent playthroughs would lose most of what makes this game unique). HOWEVER, if you are buying this for the multiplayer DON'T! There are no servers so it is exclusively peer to peer which means you will be rubberbanding a lot, it is quite literally unplayable. In conclusion: Great singleplayer; Terrible multiplayer

Bought the base game and DLC for $4, definitely worth it. Game only takes about 5 or so hours to complete (not including DLC) but is incredibly fun while doing so. There is a pretty broken strategy which can eliminate most of the challenge from the game so I'd recommend avoiding it for your own enjoyment. Game is 100% stealth-focused meaning there is no combat of any kind so keep that in mind. The story is predictable, but executed well enough. Co-op is fun and is how I completed my first playthrough. My only real gripe I have is with the teleport ability as it can sometimes feel unresponsive and a bit clunky to use. Not too bad usually but can lead to some pretty frustrating detections as you teleport somewhere you didn't want to. Regardless the teleport still feels cool enough to counteract it's weirdness. You are a cool shadowy assassin and you really feel like it. Overall I'd give Aragami a 9/10 losing a point only due to how inconsistent the teleport feels sometimes.

I don't write negative reviews or really any reviews in general, but this game is something special. I love The Last of Us to death, it is still one of the best stories I've ever had the privilege to play through. I've played the remaster 10 times and 9 of those on the hardest difficulty, so it's fair to say I love this game.

With that said DO NOT BUY THIS RIGHT NOW. The game is poorly optimized and crashes consistently. Most machines that are over the recommended specs (mine included) can not play this game reliably. If you really want to buy this game (and don't own a PS5) then I would suggest waiting a few months to see if they ever got this thing fixed. If you do own a PS5, just buy it on there as, unless your machine was built this year with the most expensive parts money can buy, you won't be able to run it at the quality of the PS5 version anyway.

I want to see this port fixed, I want the PC community to be able to play this game that is so dear to my heart, and I want to see what modders will end up adding to this game. But as it stands now, as much as I hate to say it, do not purchase this game right now, you will be disappointed.

Base Game:
Horizon: Zero Dawn is an incredibly well made game. The combat is fun and gets better the more you progress and your arsenal expands. The story is pretty good and Aloy is an incredibly enjoyable protagonist. Having played on PS4 and trying the PC port, the PC port is the way to go. The only problems the PC port has is a weird audio compression problem with really loud noises (explosions mostly) to where some really epic battles can become an assault on your ears instead. Unfortunately the game doesn't start as strong in the beginning and a lot of the jank is present. The dialogue usually consists of the camera cutting to each character and everyone feels a little stiff (though in Frozen Wilds they fix this really well). ALL of the side content is engaging with some obviously better and worse quests throughout. The world is so incredibly sticky you just never want to leave it. Just a beauty of a game and an easily recommendable one. So while not perfect, this game is damn close.

Frozen Wilds:
Yes, it is worth it. Especially on sale (when I bought it). It adds at least 10 hours worth of content with tons of new and challenging machines to fight with an upgraded arsenal courtesy of Blue gleam. Like stated above most of the weirdness with dialogue is gone and a lot of it has Aloy actively moving around while talking...like people do. This DLC also has a lot of areas that will disable your shield-weaver until you take out a central tower which was a neat challenge though nothing super difficult. The new weapons are insanely powerful and satisfying to wield. The new outfits look stunning (minus the Banuk werak stuff...that sucks imo) but unfortunately don't provide buffs worth ditching the shield-weaver for, which I would highly recommend before starting this DLC as it is noticeably harder. Buy a Bluegleam map, thank me later.

There is so much more I'd like to say but I can't without spoiling the game. The story will make you think about the world in a new way, or maybe it won't idk, just enjoy robot game.

Excellent game. Hundreds of hours of content as you slowly expand your empire. The biggest problem is that when late game roles around you're almost too powerful. Like your kingdom snowballs so hard that all the lords just join you leaving wars to simply be a tedious process of siege after siege with no opposition. Still great though, love being the dominant empire after being so weak, it feels rewarding but boring sometimes.
