The game crashes far too often for me to give it a recommendation, even if in most other respects the game is actually great. However, once you're about 3/4 of the way through the game, you can expect a 50/50 chance of crashing every single time the game loads a new area.

Apparently, the game has had this crashing problem for the last ten years. It actually personally offends me... do the devs not care about how bad this makes them look? Are they expecting me to overlook it, pretend the problem doesn't exist?

Just be sure to buy the elusive target DLC's the moment they come out... a lot of limited-time content in this game, but the overall quality is worth it. No season-pass is huge.

Make the UI, XP Progression, Weapon Customization, Perks, Preplanning, etc function like Payday 2 and it would be good.
Offline Mode an absolute must.

Basically, make it more like Payday 2. You tried doing something different and it doesn't work, so please do the sensible thing and fix it.

IDGAF that Payday 2 originally released in a rough state. If anything that makes this worse, because the devs updated Payday 2 into a genuinely great game but seem to have ignored all the lessons they learned. Everyone agrees Payday 2 is great. Why didn't they just use Payday 2 as the blueprint for what they know really works? Payday 3 looks like Amateur Hour, where zero lessons were learned from Payday 2.

Okay, so here's the thing... my computer is a beast, and because of that I rarely crash, never stutter, and I get stable framerates of 62-73 FPS under normal gameplay conditions. This is not the norm. The general consensus seems to be that the game is either poorly optimized or outright broken on less powerful hardware. It really desperately needs a Demo for benchmark purposes.

If you have a powerful rig, Cowboy Simulator is great fun.

My Rig:
i9 9900K
Asus ROG Strix Z390-E Motherboard
32 GB DDR4 RAM at 3200 Mhz
Geforce GTX 1080 Ti

UPDATE 5/20/20: Game is still fun. Since switching off MSXX anti-aliasing, my framerates are stable around 92-100 FPS at all times. Rockstar seriously needs to add more content to online, however.

Endless variety and countless hours of gameplay. Gold Edition is recommended, and be sure to purchase the Legacy Pack if you don't own HITMAN 2016. It will nearly double the number of maps.

You will NOT get your "Skip Boss Fight" button. Deal with it.
