Rimworld slaps harder than my mother after I failed math in grade 10. 10 out of 10 would play over and over again.

It's difficult but rewards exploration and learning. Once you understand the pathfinder ruleset the game becomes a lot easier to traverse. My first several attempts just ended up flopping because I hadn't taken the time to learn what worked and why. All that aside though once you finally do get a stable and functional party the game keeps you on the edge of your seat. I hadn't truly experienced clawling a dungeon with very limited supplies using the very unforgiving pathfinder rule set which made this game shine above a lot of other similar games. A lot of times games spoil you without you really knowing you're being cradled like a baby. I see alot of people recommending playing this game on lower difficulties but I'd argue playing on core or harder difficulties makes choices a lot more meaningful and adds a layer of choice that you might not have previously thought of. One hundred percent recommend for anyone looking for a difficult but rewarding game with a lot of choice and replayability. I usually gravitate towards rpgs with lots of side content and areas to explore. While this game lacks both and is linear I got lost in the story it had to tell. I became my character and played thru the 12 hour campaign completely engrossed actually getting sad at how my character finished the game. Honestly it's a great ride and if you're looking for a short journey that'll bring you to the depths of Seattle I recommend picking this up. Now onto the next in the series. Tomorrow because It's 3 am and I haven't strayed away from my computer since I embarked on this journey.
