Fallout: New Vegas has been out for a while now, and people are finally starting to catch on to what we've known all along: it's not that great. Yes, the game has its moments, but overall it's a pretty big letdown.

Here are five reasons why Fallout: New Vegas just isn't that great:

1. The story is a mess.

The main questline in Fallout: New Vegas is needlessly complicated and often feels like it's going nowhere. Characters come and go without any real purpose, and the whole thing just feels like one big mess.

2. The world is empty and lifeless.

Fallout 3 had some truly memorable moments thanks to its rich and detailed world. New Vegas, on the other hand, feels like a barren wasteland. There's very little to see or do, and the few interesting locations are often empty and lifeless.

3. The combat is dull and repetitive.

Fallout 3's combat was far from perfect, but it was at least somewhat enjoyable. New Vegas' combat, however, is just plain boring. It's slow, tedious, and often feels like a chore.

4. The game is buggy and unstable.

Fallout: New Vegas is plagued by bugs and glitches that can often break the game entirely. This is especially frustrating given how long the game has been out for – you would think they would have ironed out all the major issues by now.

5. It's just not that fun.

At the end of the day, Fallout: New Vegas just isn't that fun to play. It's a dull, lifeless, and buggy mess of a game that is far from the masterpiece that was Fallout 3.
