Genuinely amazing game, however it needs some SERIOUS optimization. I shouldn't have to rely on DLSS AND frame generation to get decent FPS.

best furrbait game ever

I adore this game so much, however PLEASE do not give Chucklefish your money. They are an awful company who abuses and neglects to pay their developers.
It genuinely hurts me to not recommend this game. The developers did an AMAZING job on the game. Gameplay-wise it has it's flaws, but visually it has to be some of the best pixel art I've ever seen for a game. This was also the only game where I felt like actually building for the fun of it in. In other games like Terraria, Minecraft, etc, I just built out of necessity. There was just something about Starbound that allowed me to express my creativity a lot more than other games, and that was a beautiful thing.

To the people who actually worked on this game, you did an amazing job and I really wish you had ended up being compensated in some way afterwards. I could tell you all put your heart and soul into this game, and you deserve to be payed for all of that hard work, especially in such a hostile work environment.

To Chucklefish, there's a very clear reason as to why ConcernedApe switched to self-publishing.

To everyone else, I get that this game goes on sale for really cheap semi-frequently, but please do not give Chucklefish a single dime.
