Hesitation is defeat.

FromSoft forgot how to design a video game. The bosses are almost all horribly designed, the open-world is a trap to add the excuse of requiring the player to cheese the game to not get screwed over by horrendous game design. It's the cheese or be cheesed game.

It's a real shame because you can tell that a lot of effort and care was put into this game, but if anything that only makes the final product more disappointing.

I have a lot more that I could say, like how horribly unbalanced the game is (bleed is broken, holy damage is completely useless, etc.) or how much reused assets the game has, they really must've loved using Ctrl C Ctrl V huh and so on, but I'll stop here because this game doesn't even deserve that attention.

I played it and it is by far my least favorite FromSoft game, it's not even close.

This game is a fever dream. They copied ♥♥♥♥ from games people enjoy, merged them together and made it work. It's not as easy as it seems, massive respect for standing your ground in such a project. I don't really care for the lack of story or world building or whatever, this game is just fun. It's all about the gameplay and the pals. Fun fact, the pals in this game have actual animations, something Gamefreak wish they were half-decent at doing with their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ 3D models.

Get this game right now and jump on the train. Fun and hilarious. Intriguing and fascinating. Truly, an enigma of an experience.

I never gave a review to Hollow Knight?! Time to fix that!

This is one of my favourite games of all time. It might even be my favourite game of all time (it's really close with Metroid Prime and Okami). The art style is phenomenal, this world is incredibly immersive and your first playthrough is absolutely magical. So much to explore, so many amazing areas (I think there's like, one or two areas I do not like and that's it). They all have their different theme or vibe, there's something for everyone in Hollow Knight.

The gameplay is incredible. I absolutely adore playing as The Knight as every single hit feels satisfying to land and the varied moveset in nail attacks, nail arts and spells lets you customize your charms loadout to enhance the abilities you enjoy using the most. This game also has a ton of content and challenges to keep you entertained for a long time. My hours may look low, but that's because I originally played the game on Switch, on which I have over a 100 hours in. I love this game so much that I bought it again on PC, mostly to use mods.

The story may be hard to understand, but I heavily recommend checking out online once you've completed the game as the lore is very rich and interesting.

I cannot send enough praises to this game. This is a Masterpiece. Play it.

I think that's enough to recommend it lmao. I don't even like card games usually, but this is a really good one. If you like making different builds with a good selection of characters, you'll like it.
