10/10

I had missed out on playing RE: 7 cause I was a big baby and the game went back to it's horror roots and delivered something that blew everyone out of the water. The RE: 2 remake was another step in the right direction with their new engine and while the RE: 3 remake wasn't the best, hype was high on this one. And given how much hyped games have come to end up being on launch, I can say that Village has hit a home run.

I won't disclose any story spoilers but let me put it this way, I bought this on an impulse after checking if I can run it at the minimum because I wanted to experience the story first hand and not later find it out or watch someone bumble about the game. If you're a huge RE fan from a lore respective? This game is right up your alley.

Now what if I told you this game took what made RE: 4 the commercial success that is was and took what made RE: 7 great, and put them together? It gives off so many good RE: 4 vibes and this feels like the Resident Evil 4 Capcom wanted to make all those years ago, for any of you old enough to remember the early concepts of 4.

Now I have a laptop and it's nearing it's third birthday so I wasn't playing this on the highest settings but the game still looks damn good and that's probably more credit to how good the engine of the game is. Yes, there are times where the game doesn't attach your HP but rather your framerate but, I didn't die because of those so I wouldn't right it off as a flaw.

There's mods to remove those anyways, in case it does bother you.

Again, I would say the game is perfect really but that's my own experience and it may differ. But I highly recommend it, especially if you can play with friends watching like I did.

Dark Souls 3 is the first souls game I played to completion and I have to say, the game has a learning curve but once you know that the game is enjoyable.

Are there still points in the game that no matter what, make you want to tear your hair out? Yes.

I even have fun doing PvP, something I'd never imagine to find myself liking let alone look to do.

For what is to be the end of this amazing series, I think it's done its part. And it still has quite the active player base, being the last game and all. Let's just hope the servers stay open.

The fact this game has been called Dark Souls the Anime has been pretty spot on. Plays like a Soulsborne type of game, but it's difficulty isn't on the same level. For anyone who's played DS3 and knows how that game is the 'easier' of the three Dark Souls games, then you can take this game as easier then that. Still you'll find it difficult if you underestimate the game, but I would say the starting few hours isn't anything to call too difficult. Until the Cathedral.

♥♥♥♥ that area.

There's lots to like about this game, especially if you're into anime. Just don't expect anything super new in terms of the story, it's as tropey as tropes can get and your character (The Main Character) pretty much evolves to become more of a main character as the story progresses. Does that make it bad? If you take it seriously, yes. But just as a game it's still very enjoyable and it's a story that makes you want to keep playing to figure out what happens.

Unlike the Soulsborne games, you don't level individual stats when you 'Level Up' and the game focuses more on using correct Blood Veils (Or armor) and weapons to maximize the type of play style you want, along with the Blood Codes. Where Darksouls you'd need to start a whole new game to build a certain playstyle, Code Vein at least lets you change at will and experiment.

My only compliment would be very petty ones, like the lip syncing being odd, clipping with clothing which you'll notice and will never not be bothered with, some mechanics being wonky (For me it's parrying and backstabbing) and so on. But these are things I sweep aside and don't think ruins my personal enjoyment of this game.

Also, the character creation had me spend almost 2 hours making my perfect waifu. No other game made me stay on a character creation that long. Not even Dark Souls.

The Binding of Issac and it's Expansion Wrath of The Lamb is a simple but brutal game. The concept works like a dungeon explorer type of game where you can accquire keys, bombs and even money. You can gain items, unlock more by doing specific tasks and so forth. However with the factor of the Random Number Generator no one run you make is the same from the other. This game will keep your fingers close to the WASD keys and the arrow keys for shooting your Tears. It rewards those who know how to exploit the RNG, and punishes those for stupid mistakes. Don't let it's apperance and art style draw you away. Though some items and such may be but crude childhood humor or downright disgusting, ignoring that fact and laughing along and seeing how interperative this game will hook you in.

If you can, buy the base game before hooking yourself in to the DLC. You'll appreciate the change the DLC adds to the base games once a few tens of hours have been plugged away on it.

Trust me, you'll be wasting a lot of time getting to the real final level of this awesome game.
