My Axe is Red with blood, my enemies lie beheaded beneath it...
I have ravaged their lands and brought death to their people. their lands have been sewn with salt and their homes and villages reduced to cinders. All that remains is the screams of the dead and dying, and the calls of circling ravens...

Some people who don't know what this game really is will think this is a joke, but this game is the best melee combat game I've ever seen, more of a simulator really. This game (if learned) will allow you to experience the most realistic example of HEMA (historical European martial arts) in any game. Which is especially impressive considering that Kingdom come 2 also released this year, and yet this game outdoes even that game on realism.

Now obviously the vast amount of people playing this game see it as a silly Streamer game that's basically QWOP with swords. However the reality is that if you take this game seriously, learn the controls in depth and master them, then you will be cutting necks in a single slash while also parrying at the same time like a master fighter.

I have to also give credit to the game for having the most realistic depiction of Medieval armored combat I've ever seen. The fights between knights, while using Pole-axes or wielding Longswords like the games namesake, are extremely realistic and brutal. while also showing the true usefulness of armor.

I could go on, but simply put if you have any innate interest in HEMA there is no finer game for you than this.

I cannot wait to see where the Half Sword Dev's will go with this amazing combat system. Be it multiplayer, campaign, or maybe some kind of ambitious Mount and blade type experience. this game has Tremendous potential and is already amazing in its own right, and as a demo no less.

small anachronism in this dlc, the anti tank guns the germans have are pak-40's which were not fielded or used in the battle of stonne

Edit: this anachronism has been fixed by the Dev upon request.

All i can say is wow
This game is obviously not made for money, it is a passion project through and through and it allows you to simulate extremely intense and realistic engagements with combined arms forces as either axis or allies in MANY campains.
Vehicles and squads are accurate to the operations they're featured in and with a good computer you can see engagements between multiple platoons occur before your eyes. just last game 29 enemy tanks were knocked out over a span of about 15 minuites. with artillery blaring and stukas overhead this game does what it sets out to do. your average 10 minuites in this game is as intense as some of the best moments in Hell let loose or Squad44.
Wonderful hidden gem that i believe needs more exposure.

My only real gripe right now is that the AI infantry can be a bit silly since they don't usually lay down when under fire as often as they probably should
