This game is going be controversial with the whole 'Go back to Sim Racing!' or 'This isn't racing!' thing. In my eyes, it really isn't about that - This is not what the game was made to be for.

DIRT 5 is an Arcade style off-road racing game. It wasn't made to be a Sim Racer, it was made to be an ARCADE. And for some reason, that's where a lot of people seem to be losing track of the game. If you want to play a a Sim Racing Rally game, go and play Dirt Rally 2. After all, that's what the game was meant to be released for.

Now with that out of the way, let's talk about the actual game itself...

I was lucky enough to be able to be given a Content Creators Key by Codemasters, and I thank them for handing me they key. I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it! But, I'm not going to look at it from the perspective of 'I got it for free and I must rate it highly', because that's not what this review is about. I'm going to look at it from the £45 PoV. So - Is it worth £45? No - It isn't. But the fun from the game is not to be forgotten about. There's multiple different classes of Off-Road, some wacky, some... interesting. The physics are exactly what you would expect from an Arcade game. The online is a bit of a cluster****, and right now as of this review, there is currently no wheel support put into the game - Which is a huge flaw for someone who usually would always use a wheel for these kinds of games & sim racers. The Graphics are very nice as well, and you don't need a crazy spec PC to play it too. The weather effects are pretty nice too! You can go from Racing into the burning heat of Brazil, and then jump straight into the Snowy lands in Norway, racing underneath the Northern Lights. Mighten I add, it was pretty damn beautiful. There's plenty of car customisation too - And I expect Codemasters to add even more in the future.

So, to Finalise all this up, If you want to buy a sim racing rally game, this is not the game for you. If you want to play a casual, wacky, off-roading arcade racer, then you'll more than likely enjoy this. However, the Price tag for the amount of content there is inside of the game, will remain in question!

*Honest Review*

I know it seems liked a lot of people don't recommend this game, but I would. It's a very unique game and, yes, whilst it has its bugs and frame rate issues it still is a very good game. If the can fix the issues then it's destined for greatness.

The game at times can definitley feel like a drag, having to take orders, fix the car then send it away. And that seems the be the only thing that happens during most of the game. But it definitley is time consuming.

Is it worth £15? Not right now. Like mentioned before, It still has its issues but it really is a good game especially if you're a petrolhead. I'd buy this game if you ever notice it on sale, But when the issues are fixed then I'm certain it'll be worth the money!
