This games undying sense of meta ironic humor is a MASSIVE turn-off from an otherwise great game.

Little needs to be said about this masterpiece of a game, the only parts I ever found bad, were the Angler quest achievements. You know the ones.

Very reminiscent of several aspects of both Final Fantasy 1 & 3, mostly the class and items/equipment systems specifically, but it still adds many new aspects like full 3D free roaming and multi-classing. Overall, as a big fan of early Final Fantasy games, this game has quickly become one of my favorites.
