Pretty good for a university project game. You learn a bit of info on roman theaters and enjoy the atmosphere. It's a pretty good little point and click game where you walk around a reconstruction of a roman theater. It's has good music and a good vibe. Its 45 minutes and it's free so if you're the kind of person who would tour a roman theater go for it.

Classic game. I never played much of it but the soundtrack is better than 90% of games today and I listen to it daily. Many of the mechanics are more intricate than modern total war games too for example a unit that's routing but gets surrounded will fight to the death. This is back when games were made with love and not profit in mind.
The UI is dated but setting it to FPS controls helps a lot. It's clunky and dated in many ways but it worth it.
There's a lot of things this game has that later total wars don't have like detailed sieges where you can bring siege ladders and rams into the city to assault inner walls. You can upgrade unit's weapons and armor with new models based on the weapons and armor you give them. There's also several expansions all with their own new factions music and campaigns. Overall this comes together to make it the best total war game imo.

Incredible game with a massive amount of content that still holds up. I recommend buying it when its on sale or with a steam key if you're a fan of the period or a total war fan.
