Bought the game, heard soulless AI voice "acting", returned the game. Games can't be art if there's no artistic vision.

You don't even need to add more than 1v1, but if you make a way to lobby with multiple friends and take turns in a "bracket" style format, or even just a king of the hill style format where the winner gets to keep playing and the losers are rotated out, that would make it all the better to play with friends. Great game in any case.

In my opinion, if you're a fan of Higurashi and/or Umineko and you want more, this is worth reading, even if Phase 2 never ever comes out. The story that exists to this point deserves to be read. And the character work, as to be expected from Ryukishi, is fantastic. Everybody has their own quirks and are all very lovable, with hidden depths. And hey, showing your interest in the continuation of the story definitely couldn't hurt. That said, if you're the kind of person who just CAN'T STAND an unfinished story, maybe best to hold on to your money for now.

If you're looking for the well-designed platformer of your dreams then this is it. It goes without saying at this point but Celeste is one of the best platformers ever made. The controls are tight and allow for so much quick and precise movement once you have mastered them, the story is beautifully emotional and heartwarming, and the level design is incredible. Perhaps the best part is that it's not over, even once you've 100% cleared the game. A very devoted and welcoming fan community exists that have created hundreds upon hundreds of amazingly high quality levels that take the skill ceiling far beyond where the game leaves you at, and amazingly you'll find that there's *so much more to discover about the game's engine than the game ever taught you*. That's evidence in itself of how incredibly well-designed this game is. At the time of review I've put 743 hours into this game and I'm sure that by the time I've run out of things to do I will have at least doubled that. Play Celeste.

this game taught me that onions are nonions, blueberries are lueberries, chocolate is ocolate (or occasionally hocolate), and chorizo is zizo.

You'll be confused, at the beginning. You'll wonder what the point is. You'll wonder why any of this is happening. You'll wonder who these ridiculous characters are, and what motives they could possibly have to be behaving the way that they are. You'll find the world vaguely defined, aimless, and detached. Let yourself feel this way. Don't be put off by those impressions. You're experiencing the game as intended. Press onward and it'll all become clear.
