Alr so don't let negative comments get to you. For a free game i would 1000000% recommend, it's got a bunch of mechanics, lots to learn and tons of equipment to play around with. Overall it's just good. However, it does have issues.
1. The game is fairly old at this point so you'll see some of the age show sometimes which feels bad
2. a few bugs that I haven't ran into but exist widely across the total player base and have not been patched in forever.
3. trying to recruit/start an outfit is damn near impossible in this game which feels bad because it's a lot more fun with a set team to play with and seems like a funny game to mess around with clan activities on.
4. REALLY REALLY time consuming for new players (takes forever to unlock stuff) though you can just pick medic at start for easy currency farming. In the game currency = xp basically.
5. Aircraft though they do have counters are super super annoying for new players to deal with.
6. New players just have trouble playing in general due to it mostly being vets left.


But even with all that the pros most def outweight the cons, if you like big battles and chaos then this game is for you. Plus what's to lose? It's free after all

If you like space and shipbuilding/rpg then this game is 100% for you. It's got small empire management, economy, fleets shooting it out in space, etc. The list goes on. It seems like a lot to learn at first but honestly the game eases you into it really well. You unlock materials for building and the ships slowly get more complicated and add more features for you to weaponize. Same with the weaponry.

Overall great way to kill time and build/shoot stuff lol.

So my verdict on this is 50/50 good/bad. It's an awesome game with many interesting ideas and the airships are awesome I also like the idea of having to locate bps to unlock stuff, kinda adds into the "ancient civilization" feeling. The core mechanics are there, the environment is there and the building is there. (also grappling in here is awesome)
But the negatives...is mostly just feels a little empty. Especially when flying to your next island, the lack of stuff going on just feels weird and empty. Not to mention there are a fair amount of bugs (i try to ignore them because it's early access) but they are there. Now I never ran into any game-breakers but I know they exist because the community has complained about the same group of bugs, there's at least 5 that i've seen that are def game-breaking from the community.
Tons of smaller ones but be honest, those aren't really important considering the early state of the game.

Like i said I wish there was a half option for steam reviews or something. Now on a positive note the devs so far have been updating/patching at least once a month which is good pace (rust back in 2014 was operating the same exact way and still do even right now). So I'm cool w that makes sense. But if you buy this just beware that it's def not done and it does feel like "early access" so you're def getting what you're buying. But if you like puzzles, flying, building, and just exploring then right now you'd probably love it even though it's unfinished because that's most of the content. (to be clear I do actually like this game).

But yeah overall just kinda be aware that there are issues, large ones. And the amount of content you'll currently get out of this at the most might be 50ish hours or so, less for people who go fast lmao.

Super nice, it feels like an old RTS but simplified controls and an emphasis on map control which is great. The only difference being that you're an ant and you have to map out your nest lol, super interesting idea that I feel like was executed very well. It does need some polish but considering it's been less than a year since release, I'd say they are doing amazing.
Btw for freeplay/arcade there are SO many settings to mess around with.
Sadly I do think it's singleplayer, I hope they plan on multiplayer but we'll see. Either way worth your time and even more so if it's on sale.

Ok just a fair warning, there are settings but base kenshi is VERY hard. But I'd still highly recommend regardless, it does have some outdated ideas in it but the core mechanics of what they aimed for is so well done. The world building is also amazing, I was shocked to see so many different areas. I'd heard kenshi was good but it def caught me off guard by just how much there is to do.

If you're buying this game and planning to play it was intended to be played then I'll just give you a heads up that you're gonna lose, you're gonna die it's just a matter of "when". So be prepared for your first run to go HORRIBLY LOL. Def start with easy settings when you first play because even the easy setting can be pretty rough for first timers.
But yeah I'd def recommend for everyone to try it at least once.

Great game tbh, the shop system in here is so close to perfectly done. The core mechanics of the game they have absolutely nailed. I was surprised I liked it as much as I did but I do, the game is just great.
If you like running shops or watching numbers go up then this game is perfect for you. Absolutely recommended.
