Engaging gameplay, cute graphics, nice sound design, enjoyable meta progression (albeit minmaxing buildings is a story of it's own), a lot of to unlock. Tons of fun for low cost.

Can be finished in under 2 hours, lovely pixel graphics with a sub-tone of war and destruction. If you liked Digesum and crave more of that, this would be the game for you.

I was balancing whether to give this game a Yes or a No, but after 15 hours of "gameplay" I would like to point out a few things.

First of all, graphics and sound are great, I really enjoyed the atmosphere. Progression mechanics and gameplay are also quite interesting and the concept is unique.

The camera - where you cannot see behind tall buildings and have to use Alt to see where things are - is quite annoying. Some build costs scale way too fast given how big the playable area is. Some mechanics - like getting into the void, conduits, hell stone disappearing - are not very well explained. Some parts are extremely repetitive while refilling stuff silos all the time and not really seeing numbers got up. There are segments where you have to be 100% active, and then you can AFK for 4 hours because you are waiting for tens of millions of each resource to accumulate just to raise limit of hell stone you can have at a time .

Balancing some segments would make me switch the review to a positive one.

If you are also waiting for Factorio DLC, or Satisfactory release, and liked Shapez 1, this game won't disappoint.

A fresh new take on a tested 2D gameplay with a new coat, tons of QoL updates that the developer did based on a survey (wonder when was the last time the community was listened to in any of the games I played, besides Factorio), great new design, new challenges, new shape(z), and new way to play the game.

If you like factory games or management sims, this game won't disappoint.

UPDATE: Read below for possible solution on PC

Great game - when it works.

CO-OP has been broken for months - either not being able to connect AT ALL, or geting kicked when more than two players are in the game. Marketing department keeps shilling Expeditions in every post in Snowrunner, taking more space than Snowrunner itself.

Focus does NOT care about players, their opinions, or their cries for help. DO NOT BUY before these issues are fixed. Playing the game solo is not bad, but it is way better with friends. But then again, you do not need Steam to play solo, and CO-OP does not work anyway.

For anyone else having issues, you can try removing everyone from your Steam blocklist. I had over 500 users blocked, and removing them all fixed the issues.

No strict goal, no time limit, no rush. Beautiful landscape, great soundtrack, nice animations, and freedom of choice.

Simple game with some deep elements that can surprise even a seasoned programmer. Great for teaching some basics, but quickly descends into some deep algorithms. In my opinion not meant for a total beginner, but hey, 2 hours money back guarantee by Steam, so why not try!

I myself did not dip into Python very much in the past, but it is quick to catch up just by reading the game documentation if you have some past programming experience.

Numbers go up, brain makes happy chemical. Casual, lots of items to collect, lots of challenges to beat, and lots of time spent. Definitely a great buy for RS enjoyers and idle players alike.

Great game, quite casual, and the UI sometimes bugs out and softlocks the game (just go to menu, save, and go to main menu, and load the game again - no progress is lost).
