Psychonauts 2 is polished, but the polish doesn't keep the cartoony, fun feel of the original game as much, due to the more realistic gravity and slower movement. The original game had a nice "Made for kids" experience to it which really feels good, takes a player to a more peaceful, playful and happy mindset.

The story takes a more serious tone in regards to the subject matter, which is somewhat of a step down considering that when the original Psychonauts was trying to be funny, some of the time, it was actually funny and not just creepy and a bit crass.

The gameplay, however, is still very solid, this kind of a game is under-emphasized on the PC.

8/10, would have been a 9.5/10 or a 10/10 if the developer team just respected that the game is supposed to be more playful and feel-good in tone.

Balancing is a little wonky, but this is nonetheless a genuine supplement for XCOM and Sanctus Reach fans.

Absolutely a banger of a campaign. They improved on most things about Space Marine, and kept the visuals true to Warhammer 40k, in good respect for the fanbase it was made for...I am a latecomer, many of us are latecomers. It is still THEIR game.

This game captures the epic feel of Warhammer 40k to a great extent.

However, Titus is not supposed to look like Henry Cavill, that is not the face of Titus at all. Henry Cavill doesn't need to randomly show up to replace a character we're used to, a character that belongs to true 40k fans that have been there for all of it, and are just a lot more emotionally invested than the randoms just showing up, skewing demand in the wrong direction. (Plus, who said Ultramarines are the coolest? Green Salamanders are way nicer, and there are stronger forces in the Imperium, let alone the 40k universe.)

I would have also had more missions going into more intriguing environments. There is a lot of mileage left in Tzeench's chaos realm, and in Mechanicus dungeons. Some of the plot characters are absolutely abhorrent, despicable personalities, like that little tool Leandros, who should have been punished severely instead of promoted...People like him, who betray their own side, who accuse without evidence, abuse their power, tear down others who are better than them are why organizations expel people.

The game's engine is too demanding, they should have stuck with the old engine, with some modifications, or gone with Unreal Engine 3, or 4. Those support hundreds of on-screen enemies and they would have allowed for faster development, along with more missions.

9/10, solid gameplay and story but the game needed more development time to fix some clear mistakes, and needed better software.

A classic game. The dramatization makes it interesting, but the war was interesting enough.

This game has some glaring issues, such as:

1. An emphasis on consumerist taste
2. Historical misrepresentation...Enemy in the game are "The Germans"...Germany had two militaries which opposed each other, one being on the Allied side and that military is not mentioned.
3. The variety of guns and equipment is ridiculous. This game would rather show scopes that were not accurate, a ray gun and a flamethrower with infinite ammo. Ridiculous, lazy detail.
4. The difficulty of this game is either non-existent, or total. The enemy consistently has the drop on you, and there is no effective way to get it back...On higher difficulties you just die until you are allowed to follow-up and attack. Difficulty in a game is supposed to allow for the player to actually affect the position of the game, so as to make a favorable balance for himself. It is not supposed to be where RNG influences outcomes, with no control.
5. Many battles are missing
6. Collision boxes and gun sound design are horrible
7. Largely rehashed game...They could have done a different battle the US was in, such as the Korean War, World War I, Vietnam, Russian Civil War, or Operation Desert Storm. Russia also had the Russo-Japanese war, and this game could have shown the fight between Vasily Zaitsev and Konig.
8. HIt detection issues present toward the end of the game

In fact, this is how stupid Treyarch and Activision are...They did not think of these wars the US was in either:

1. Turkish Civil War
2. Banana War in Haiti
3. Veracruz Occupation
4. Bluff War
5. Occupation of Nicaragua
6. War of 1912 in Cuba
7. Mexican Border War
8. Operation Beleaguer
9. Greek Civil War
10. Berlin Blockade
11. Operation Valuable
12. Laotian Civil War

...There are so many more. I really hate COD developers, they are worthless, incompetent people.

6/10, they really did not do enough work on this one. This game was a quick cash grab.

I remember all the commercials about this game when I was a kid, but I passed it up as campy and shallow...Truly 21 years later, when I finally decide to play it, I realize that this is the epitome of just calm, peaceful fun. Pure game with no needless idle time, cash-grabbing tactics...Sure the game is small-scale but games are not meant to replace life, they are part of the icing on life.

8.5/10, could have been expanded more for the PC version. If they could fit KOTOR on those old PC's then there's no reason not to make this game more expansive with more places to go, missions, upgradeable stuff, etc. Additionally, this game has some unexpected run-killing bugs that were never, ever fixed that involve collision boxes and interaction points for platforming and climbing. The physics sometimes gets wonky, too. The tongue in cheek jokes are not appropriate with the family-friendly aspect it is shooting for. Without those bugs, this game would be a solid 9.

Stimulating, fun game. Takes chess and does some really interesting, cool spins on it. One of the better puzzle games out there.

...Horrible combat abilities. Horrible. Least aggressive, most boring character to play with.

Fresh, cool game but could use some tactical depth at the normal difficulty. Lack of a cover system with hit probability modifiers is annoying and feels like a step back from the XCOM formula.

EDIT: 87 hours in...This game is basically perfect. Still not as complicated and deep as it could be, but it's a pleasant, fun, entertaining little exercise in impact analysis. Seeing Nolan North come back as Deadpool was so spot-on, and this is one of the few games where grinding is FUN to do.

9/10...While gameplay is basically perfect, Character upgrade and the selection of who was to be in the game isn't the best. Caretaker is an annoyance. Nico has questionable mental character. Magik is a totally rude b**ch and there is not enough mystery to the Abbey area. Blade, Magik and Spider-Man are underpowered.

This game gets a serious difficulty spike after level 15 which is not in keeping with the difficulty selection idea, and some bugs ruin the matches, such as counting extra redraws.

The missions repeat themselves too much and don't have fair balancing-This game should be about winning based on how deeply you think about decisions, not about whether you're outnumbered or not.
